Hi,
Chris Gayle undoubtedly played superb spell this ipl season, specially his 37 runs in a single over would never be forgotten.
If he doe not lose nerve and plays with the same spirit this time too Gayle should show some magic and if this is to happen CSK would be in trouble indeed.

CSK winning is a great feat. I wrote them off when they were needing more than 20 runs in the last two overs out of which Zaheer was to bowl one. Sad I did not watch the end game. It is a splendid performance by Raina that held CSK batting together. RCB will have another chance if they defeat the winner between MI and KKR. If they win by the Gayle magic there, they will have another go at CSK. That will be interesting. If it happens like that my feeling is this IPL championship goes to RCB.

It seems unless Gayle scores big, RCB can't manage to win. After Gayle's inclusion in the squad for injured Dark Nannes, Gayle scored almost in all games and steered RCB from bottom of the table to top. Gayle couldn't score in the match against KXIP, their second last match in group stages, where he registered a duck. And RCB lost the match as well as they needed to score nearly 200 runs that day. But, they didn't have uphill task like that in the last match, in the qualifier 1, despite his early departure with a mere 8 runs off 9 balls, RCB managed to pile up 175 runs. Thanks to fellow members especially Virat Kohli for his unbeaten 70 runs. But, that seems less as CSK batsmen really played well especially Suresh Raina, whose unbeaten 73 steered his team to a victory to booked them a place in the final. They reached back to back final and it is their 3rd final in four years, it shows how consistent and successful the CSK team is. Gayle failed and RCB too failed to win the match. Though they have another chance to reach the final, another match with the winner of the eliminator match. Good Luck to them.

Gayle again scored a duck and that sealed the fate of RCB. It seemed without Gayle RCB is almost nothing. They were in poor position before his arrival. As far I can remember they won only 1 match out of 4. After Gayle's arrival they won 7 matches on a trot. Even they became the No. 1 team before the play offs. But they managed to win the second qualifier riding on Gayle's 89 after losing in the first qualifier. Gayle made 0, 8, 0 where his team lost the match else if he scores more than 30, his team can win the match whatever it may be. He failed in the final and his team too. Ashwin dismissed him twice. But in the last match of their group match Gayle played superb and made 70s or something where eventually his team won.

I think Gayle is in terrific form in the current season of cricket. Gayle had single handedly saved lots of matches for RCB. I think Gayle is one of the clean strikers of the bowel and when he hit the bowl most times it goes to the boundary very fast.

RCB and Gayle will be the tormentor again. He is in the form of his life and the thought and the thought that none of the franchise owners wanted him means that he was not the first choice in the top 100 players of the world has hurt him bad.
