The Government has cut funding for BFAW (Breastfeeding Awareness Week). Do you think this is a wise choice?

Um... yes. We are broke. Even if there is a reason for it, we don't have the money. There is no money. Government is not a magic vending machine that has infinite cash to toss at every pet project people have.
So, yes. When you don't have money for something, you shouldn't buy it. That includes government.
That said, I'm not sure women need to 'be aware' of how to feed a baby with their God given body parts.

Well... then someone needs to form a private charity and supply that information.
The US government simply doesn't have the money. Time to learn to live within our means. If we don't have the money, it doesn't matter how important the message is... we do not have the money.

So the government cuts money from br3@stfeeding awareness........but I bet it didn't cut money used to supply free formula through WIC? Not surprising though in this backwards government we're trapped in.
I understand that some moms/babies need it, but WIC should make the formula harder to get. i.e. medical reason for not being able to br3@stfeed, hideous work hours that makes it too difficult to pump, etc. I think many moms don't bother with br3@stfeeding because they know they can still feed their baby for free through the government.

That's easy to figure out. If you owned a business, what is your number one priority? It's to keep your business going. Right?
All business of any kind operates this way. Their highest priority is to keep the business operating.
Oddly enough, government is the exact same way. Their number one priority is to grow and expand themselves.
Well, which does that between the two? WIC or promoting women feed their own children?
Obviously WIC does, because that justifies more taxes, more government employees to give out more WIC support.
So this makes perfect sense.... from a government perspective.
