Did you save your child's hair from first haircut?

I actually did! My mom told me to do it when my first daughter was born. My mom also saved our hair from the first hair cut,and she was filled with pride when she showed me mine when I was in my teens and I understood how much she loved me then.I think my daughters will feel the same way when I show them theirs. It will tell them they were really special in my eyes.

Yes, I also kept my son's lock of hair from his first haircut the way my mom did with me and my other siblings. There's even a kid's salon here in the Philippines where they give out certificates to all babies who had their first haircut in the salon with the baby's before and after haircut pictures. They also attach the baby's lock of hair in the certificate.

My husband had the haircut for our baby when he was about a month old. And we did save his hair because it was very precious. I can understand why you did so. It will be a nice memory when he grows up. I love China

I still have my son hair too, i keep it in a small bog in a draw.The first time my son get his hair cut i did take up all the hair an save them in a bag so i could show him later.

I did it! Its something sweet to remember. Actually, when I took him to have his first hair cut. In the salon, they took a curl of his hair and put it in a nice card for me. The card say: "My First Haircut".

I did! I received this baby book as a gift wherein I can journalize my baby's milestones. The said baby book has this envelop stuck in one of the pages purposely for the baby's hair from the first hair cut, and I kept my baby's hair in there. Fathers have to understand the sentimental nature of mothers. The publisher of the baby book already did. I noticed that you are a mother of three, correct me if i am wrong, have you kept the hair locks of your three children?

did not with my two daughters, however, my mom did when i was a little girl and i think she still has it some 40 odd years later!
