Yes I also have no sleep schedule. But wherever you lay me to sleep. Even I can not sleep to music and is very noisy. I sleep at night for several hours and I can not get the required sleep. But I think you should consult a specialist. Because it is very important that you can sleep and have power for another day. Everyone needs to sleep and even have hell to sleep eight hours but few succeed. Have a nice day!

Hi there! As I'm typing this it's 23:00pm and I'm very sleepy already. That's really weird of your body to behave like that. Do you feel your body functioning well at work or do you not feel tired at all? I think you should consult a doctor if you're really worried. Maybe a kind of insomnia. I can't stand having to sleep for only 5 hours because even if I sleep a complete 8 hours I still feel sleepy come noon time or after lunch.

I'd much prefer to stay up late. Unfortunately, my husband starts pestering me to be ready to go to sleep at around 10pm. I'd prefer to stay up and sleep in, but it never happens.

I struggled with that for most of my marriage. I always wanted to stay up later than he did. I often did. For some reason, I thought when I was a grown up I would be able to go to bed when I please. It's only in the last few years, with both of us self-employed, he gets that I can't do writing and web design when I get interrupted all the time. So now I write until aobut 2 or 3 and I get up around 10. He goes to bed before midnight and gets up about 7 or 8 and then falls alseep again in his chair. It works for us now. Maybe you both just have to get older:)

Not, really, I am on a very very tight sleeping schedule, that has to be from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM in the morning. Any other alterations to it, I really do think that it is going to really be something that is not going to be the best thing for my health and more importantly to my sanity. There were a couple of weeks a couple of years ago, where I had about ten hours of sleep over five days, which I'm sure really did cause a lot of voices inside my head and other general insanity. I have really trained myself to sleep a certain way and that's about all that there is to it. As for being good for your health, I really have no idea. My best theory is that it most likely is not really good for your health. Then again, I've learned by now, that standards for people and for what is good for a person's health, really does vary from person to person. One person could really go through one thing, really not getting any sleep whatsoever, or all that much a lot and can be fine for a while. Others, not so much so. Then again, I can't really stay up too late and I get up rather early. Unless I am sick, or there is some grand alternation to my life, where it forces my sleeping schedule to be thrown out of whack. Then really all bets are off. I am really not a night owl, not all that much at all. There is just something about sleeping that I really enjoy. A great sleeping schedule, that is during a normal time frame. That's just all that there is to it.

It seems not really a good habit, general saying, it should be 7-8 hours for person spend on sleeping. You said that you always go to bed on 1:00 am, it seems really not good time.(actually I am always go to sleep at that time , haha ) As quoted from china's traditional herbalist doctor at that time , your kidney need get a good rest , so for the sake for protect you health , you really need to go to sleeping more early !! best regard

Hi zhpshql, this condition is normal for young people like us. I can even sleep at 3 AM and wake up at 6 AM, without feeling tired or sleepy during the day. it's because in this age our body metabolism is still good and can give us extra energy for many activities which could be tiresome for people above 30 years old. Enjoy the long night:)

I will stay up sometimes pretty late, like this week I was up until 4:30am but that was because I took a late nap. I was very tired when I got up and so I went back to sleep at 6:30pm got back up at 9:30 then to sleep again at 4:30!! SO you guessed it, I went to sleep early again. I fell alseep at 7 last night. People need different amounts of sleep some need more than others so I would not worry so much about it. If you feel rested after that amount of sleep then it is normal. I would not worry, but if you find yourself unable to concentrate and are in a bad mood then you should talk to your doctor about it.

I am often still up at 1am and sometimes I wake up very early as well. I live alone in a motel room so it doesn't matter if I leave the light on all night or not. Unlike you, I am always sleepy, but I have trouble sleeping, usually because of pain. I think that different people do need different amounts of sleep. When I was working two jobs, there were times that I would work until midnight, then not get to sleep until after 1 then have to be at my other job by 7am so I didn't get much sleep those nights. Plus I had to get homework done for my online classes so I had to squeeze a lot into my days. If you feel like you are not tired with that amount of sleep then it probably isn't a major problem, but you might occasionally want to get a little extra sleep if you ever feel worn down. Have a great weekend!!!

I used to be, but not any more. I have three kids that I have to get off to school in the morning so I need to make sure I get plenty of sleep. Plus right now I have panic disorder so I need to sleep a lot so that I feel good the next day. There was a time though when I used to enjoy staying up late. but just not anymore.

There are people something like that, friend. If we ask doctors about it. They maybe said it is normal because base on the information I learned before. The span of good and healthy sleep is now 4 hours for people having a busy schedules in life... To make sure this is a normal thing and bad for your health just ask the doctors. Because they are specialized in that particular case...

No. I go to bed at 1030 pm and get up by 6 am. When we were young we use to go to sleep at 8 pm and get up at 6 am. Nowadays boys and girls sleep maximum five hours in the night. In your case u are not feeling sleepy during day time and that is God's gift. It differs from person to person. Some of us can manage with only six hours sleep and some of us require eight hours sleep. have a nice day

We should have at its best an 8 hour sleep, but as we get older it shortens. Do not get upset as this is normal.Do not rely on sleeping pills just follow your body clock. Eat healthy foods and take exercises so as to balance the situation and that you will not get sick.

I am a night owl, too. I usually sleep at 3am but when I have work, I do force myself to sleep early because work starts at 7am plus I don't have my own car. I have to commute to work. I have a friend who hardly sleeps. She only has two to three hours a day. I told her she's abusing her health but she told she has always been like that since she was in high school. I guess each and every one has their own uniqueness when it comes to their sleeping habits.

I wouldn't be too worried if you don't sleep very much unless you are constantly feeling tired or very exhausted. For many years now, I have slept 5 hours or sometimes less in a night and I feel fine. Nothing happened to me. Sometimes I will fall asleep in chair whilst watching TV, and that is quite unexpected. _Derek

I am pretty sure I'd prefer it being night than day - probably matches me I wished that I wake up at night and stay asleep during the day - I lack energy during the day and feel frustrated forcing me to be active

Hi there, you are a human not an owl. You are not feeling sleepy because you should make yourself in busy schedule.. Your body should get tiredness which helps you to fall in sleep. You should work to get physical tiredness.. Try to be always active.. Just for an example i am saying this to you.. Go and adjust the TV channels when you feel to change the program in TV.. don't use remote controller.. Just go for a walk up to 2km.. Drink more water.. Meditate 20 mins in the morning & 20 mins in the evening.. Try to take bathing 2 times a day ( Morning after waked up & night before sleep ) don't have a hot drinks like Tea, Coffee before you go to sleep.. Follow the proper diet control, do exercise regularly.. Store always Happiest memories inside your heart which helps you to think positive even if you are supposed to be in a Negative situations..

I guess you are habitual of sleeping late and getting up early morning , it may effect your health if you don't give proper rest to your body , also if you sleep 6 hours daily then it wont cause any bad effect to your body .I also sleep late nite but unlike you wake up late lol :)
