It's really frustrating to be a procrastinator. Like when I get up in the morning I list tons of things that i have to do or accomplish for the day. I actually have all the time of the day because I don't have a job, Im not studying anymore and I just stay at home all day. So basically I have the whole entire day to do what Im suppose to be doing. But what do you know, I end up not doing anything. I just keep on pushing everything back. Then I promise to myself that I'd really start doing something but AGAIN I don't. It's unbelievable!

I think the cure to that is to have a sense of responsibility. Once you have that, you'll know how to prioritize. When you are able to prioritize, that's the time you'll be able to do things you wanted or needed to do. You just need a sense of urgency. Right now, probably you're at a prime age, a fresh graduate still living under your parent's house and I think you are very well provided. If you start wanting to have a life of your own, a responsibility of your own and a money of your own which you'll know by that time how to earn, your procrastination will get cured.

Same here, although I am working but when I'm off I just stay in the house waking up at 9-10:00 am and sometimes 11:00 am in the morning and straight to television to watch. On Saturdays I should have to clean the dogs and do the laundry but because I am a big procrastinator I just watch tv and spend the afternoon at my bed, sleeping. It explains because I am working during weekdays that I need a rest at weekends but my mother urge me to do household work which I really hate to do specially cooking and do the laundry.

Well, I too am a procrastinator. Sometimes, I really do not know how I would control it and sometimes I would force myself to stand up on my feet and move. It is really hard because I am a lazy-bone too. But I'm not a couch potato or what, I'm just lazy. There are times that other people would keep on reminding me what I am going to do because I keep on telling them, "Later". Soon though, I have to take care of my responsibility. And I think that makes me forget about procrastination.

Do not make a list. Bring out one by one. Complete it. then take the next one. I can understand your feeling. You have completed your study. You are not having a job now. I do not know what is the degree you have completed. If you have studied arts/science then you can opt for a lot of jobs available in walmart, meijer, target etc. Initially u join. Get experience and thereafter u can go for other well paid jobs. First what u need is a job. Please get that. Then you will feel important about yourself. You will be happy about yourself and procrastination may go away from you. have a good day

I have the same problem but I ended up curing it because I saw how much pile of work I had to at the last minute. But, the first time that I accomplished a task on time, I saw it as an opportunity to get more work done. You just have to tell your mind that to stop procrastinating, and believe in your heart that you can fight this, and you will fight this.

I am the same way. I don't work either and sometimes when I'm getting ready for bed I can hardly pinpoint one productive thing I did all day. What helps me is making lists. When I get to cross something off I feel accomplished. I make very detailed lists. For example, instead of "clean living room" I will write "dust table" "pick up kids toys" "wash windows" "vaccuum" etc. When you are able to cross more than one thing off in a hour it gets you motivated to keep going. Hope this helps.
