Will people become "quasi-robots"?

I wonder if people will actually get robotic attachments like we sometimes see in Sci-Fi flicks...?! It seems some of the current gadgets we use are getting pretty close to that (i.e., "blue-tooth"?) Wonder when they'll begin "implanting" devices? What do you think?
