A month ago, I went to China for 2 weeks trip, and the experience is unforgettable indeed. One thing though, I just couldn't stand the government on blocking those most popular websites from our dear Chinese citizens, especially those youngsters. Facebook and youtube are totally blocked, and I went to the internet cafe in attempt to open my facebook page, it just keep on giving me error, the same for youtube. One funny thing is, I can't access google main page too. Luckily, it is accessible at HongKong, where censorship there wasn't that tight. So, for those Chinese mylot members, don't you hate it, when you can't access those world popular websites?

According to me, its quite good for a nations security and all nations should maintain this thing.... Teenagers are involved a lot in facebook and that is right if the government over there took that action but for youtube its ok because i do not find anything wrong with youtube because youtube is very important as if someone wants to carry on with some programes and functions but for facebook its quite right for people who do social networking unnecesarily but for people who want to talk with someone in the family its right

Of course I hate it. Actually we can't login Twitter, too. It is very stupid for our government to ban it. And sometimes when I want to access to some websites, they are also unavailable. So it is very annoying. Perhaps our government is so afraid because its people are foolish and we need to be "guided". Perhaps our government prefers to have the intranet rather than internet.
I love China![](/Content/images/emotes/thumbup.gif)

As a mylotter from China, of course I hate such censorship. I totally understand why the government spends a lot of money preventing people from visiting those popular websites such as facebook, twitter and youtube. They worry about the consequences if people could freely get access to all the information including those which they want to conceal. But currently such censorship is not a problem to many people including me. We could get access to facebook, twitter and youtube by means of climbing the "Wall". I believe that such stupid censorship will terminate one day in the future.

Hmm that is truly horrible because those two sites right there are like the best websites that many people go on everyday including me. I could not go with out those websites because than I would easily get bored. Well since those two sites are blocked one can always try to find other fun sites that are popular like myspace and some other video site. Good luck.![](/Content/images/emotes/cheering.gif)

Well I think the way some ghost used Facebook for their illegal actions against some nations and countries I think China is doing good to prevent any misuse or disinformation adventure.

i have never been to china, but i heard about this ban from my friends who live in china. so sad that the chinese govt still do this in this era of information and technology. but i believe chinese govt is not stupid. they must have reason to ban this, for the good sake of their citizen. however, in the future i hope chinese govt can open these websites again because they are very important for social life.
