MY cousin helped me in having my passport. My passport will be released in June. My cousin directed me to a travel agency that did the application. They provided me the application form and I filled the necessary information. They just asked me two valid IDs and an ID picture. Then, they just told me the schedule for my personal appearnce at the DFA Aseana office. I am glad that I didn't have to fall in line in different stages cause those applicant through agencies skip some stages in the process. Now, I am just waiting for my cousin to inform me that she has my passport.

hi syoti.. i applied a passport in the DFA office of our province. There was no long lines and I had applied for it in ust 15 minutes. I only bought my birth certificate and my picture. I forgot the size of my picture. i think it is much easier to apply in the office than online.

I guess there are different requirements and different steps in each country right? Over here, we can either apply it online, which is much faster, or we can apply it in person at the immigration office.. In the past, we can only apply in person, resulting in hours of wait. But now, everything is so convenient, while paying a higher price for it, is much worth it.. haha =D

hello syoti! I think it's much way expensive to apply for passport online rather than going to the main office of DFA and being there in person for you can save much than having it online. Well, it's your choice. When I had my passport, I did go to the office of DFA which is now in Pasay. There, I had schedule 1pm but it took me long hours of waiting for the data capturing and processing of papers. Though I was lucky that time I did get a number which made me wait less hour than what I had my turn originally. There are also personnel there who asks for too many documents, which happened to my other friends which in turn, they didn't make it the last step. For me, the personnel just asked for my NBI, Birth Certificate and SSS. nothing else,so it's good to go. Then I just paid for delivery of my passport cause the office is too far from my place.

I applied a passport after college some 10 years ago.
I had to travel about 2 hours to go to the regional office of DFA at San Fernando, La Union. And goodness! It took us almost a day to get it over with.
We were there around 3am and the queue was already long. My friend and I applied for a passport and we finished processing around 3pm. It was really a tiring day.
Fortunately, now it is easier. I think it is on a per schedule basis already if you will apply personally. I had it replaced through an agency when I got married and have them processed it. I paid more but I think it is the price you pay for the convenience that you get.

Hi syoti20,
Last month i applied for my passport as my old one ran out. I went to my local post office. I was shocked that i could not ind any pictures of myself to send off and so i had to get some more done, this cost me £5. I was even more shocked when i got to the counter to be told that as i had my mouth slightly open on the picture they may not accept the pictures and so i may need to get some more done, my mouth was only slightly open as at the time i was talking to a friend. Anyway, having paid a lot of money for both my pictures to be done and to send off for my passport, i was really shocked and happy to find that 6 days after sending this off i got my new passport, luckily i did not have to have my pictures retaken, so glad that my passport was so quick. Now i have 10 years of being able to travel abroad, all i need now is the money to be able to afford a good holiday. I did find it easy filling the form in, and also for a small price my local post office check that everything is ok and they send it off.

I don't really know about the requirements coz I had my passport made when I was really little. My parents did all the needed thing, I was just there to sign it . When I had it renewed, I just had to fill up a form, hand in my photos and pay them.

I went to the office of the DFA, bringing along some ID's, not only one but two or three, my Security Paper Form Birth Certificate and my marriage contract as well. It wasn't that difficult and since i wanted to use my maiden name i had to secure an affidavit notarized by a lawyer that I'm using my maiden name not to defraud anybody. Of course it's one of the legal rights of a married woman in the Philippines so i was allowed to do that.
It was pretty fast and i had no difficulty in getting one.
