Fashion in the west

Hi mylotters,
What do you think about the fashion in the west? Don't you think that some brands are so expensive for just buying that brand. Do you love the expensive brands and do you rather buy expensive clothes than use it for other things?

I would love to buy some expensive brands because I know they use quality materials. But I would rather shop at a thrift store, or buy second-hand but branded clothes. The quality is still there. I try to discern the quality of the materials of the clothes before buying. Some big-named clothes have the same sort of materials used by other less-known clothes. :D

Yes I also think the material is important but the price is still very high, considdering most of the time the clothes are produced in the oriental contries.

Buying expensive clothing brands is good when you speak of quality. However when it comes to being practical, I don't think buying expensive brands of clothing is good. With same amount of money, you can purchase lots of less-known clothes having same quality with those branded ones instead of just buying a single branded clothing. Some clothes are much more expensive if they are a brand name and I personally do not like that. I find that the quality is not always equal in lower priced items, but for the most part you can buy $20 jeans that will last as long or longer than $100 jeans. It is all based on if you can afford to buy the higher priced products or if you want to save money and live a little more frugal.

Most expensive brands of clothing are of good quality and I think these clothes are worthy to buy. However practically speaking, I don't think it's good to buy expensive ones. With same amount of money, you can purchase lots of less-known clothes but the quality is almost the same of those branded ones. I like it more that way.
