Have You Ever Written Your Will?

I actually haven't taken the time to do this myself. I feel at 40, I'm not even ready to think about dying. But my brother-in-law recently passed away and this got me into thinking how important a will is. Have you ever written your will? Will you use a template off the internet and just revise it according to what you want to say or ask a lawyer to do it for you?

As I have not much more than the clothes that I'm stood up in, my personal thoughts are, if they fit you, take 'em, I'll have no further use for them, lol :) As you can make a will yourself perfectly legally, I see no point in lining a lawyer's pockets, D I Y would be my way every time, but in all honesty, please refer to line one of this post :)

yep, Leon. If we can make it as simple as possible, all the better. Thanks for your reply.

This is something that I have been putting off for the longest time. I know I should, but I haven't done anything about it. I have a house, and fair amount of debt. I want to make sure that when I pass on, the house does not get taken away, so I know I should have this will ready soon. Yet, I procrastinate...

yep, I do the same thing too (procrastinate).. but it's in my do list. It may take some time to get it started, especially if there are too many things to consider and too many people to think about..In my case, I only have two kids, not that many possessions, but I would still do it - I think a will answers a lot of questions most of those left behind have after their loved one passes away.

hello blogger, If you have enough assets that you really need to give/assigned to any of your loved ones i suggest that you must/should have one now. There is nothing wrong preparing Will...this is for the sake of our loved ones anyway. No- I haven't written mine,i don't have much assets nor bank accounts to do so. But if given chances that i have enough assets i surely have written one the soonest possible time that i have.

Yes I have written my will and im only 31. I think its practical and everybody should do it. Coz we are all gonna die soon and we dont know when. So to avoid leaving our loved-ones with problems, its better to set things straight when you are still alive. What i do now is I make changes to my will every now and then, when i find it necessary.
