Earthquake Emergency Kit

After the earthquake in Japan, I guess a lot of people started getting more aware of the reality that an earthquake can strike anywhere, anytime. I'm thinking of getting an earthquake emergency kit ready, just in case. Not to sound too alarming, but you can never go wrong with being prepared for the worst. So here's what's going to be in my earthquake kit (this should be good for at least 2 weeks - hopefully we won't be in a difficult situation longer than that in case an earthquake does strike).
- at least 2 weeks supply of canned goods, bottled water, cereals, powdered milk
- a change of clothes, blankets, towels
- flashlight and batteries
- my swiss knife and can opener
- first aid kit with cotton, bandages, alcohol and pain relievers
What's going to be in your emergency kit?

I've heard it recommended that you should have a radio in your earthquake kit, as then you will be able to tune in and hear any emergency news. Personally, I would also want my emergency phone and a charger which operates either with batteries, or wind-up, or something like that, so I would have a chance of calling for help if I were trapped.

That's a good idea, bringing a radio, as well. I think I would also add some bottled water, a few cooking utensils and some instant noodles. :)
