I don't have any kids as yet but considering to. But I'd like to get an animal that my child can grow up with. What are the best pets for my a child to grow up with??? Can someone tell me???

Birds are good to keep and you can let your kids grow with them. Cats and dogs are likely to be some trouble that you can't handle when your kids are young(newborn). Once your kids reach age 4-5 then you can keep any pet of your choice, till then stick with birds if possible.

A mellow cat or dog that's good around kids. Here's some information about dogs that are good with children: http://www.justdogbreeds.com/good-with-children-dog-breeds.html As for cats, just be aware that cats get set in their ways, and if you bring the cat in first, and then have a child, they may not adapt too well to it.
