Internet banking fraud

Today I logged onto my internet bank account. I was shocked to find out that my account had been illegally accessed and £1,000 had been stolen from my account. I called the bank and they have blocked access to the account and are trying to return the money. Has this ever happened to you? Did you get your money back? What steps did you take to protect yourself after that?

Not through the internet. I had my wallet stolen and they used my card to purchase things and no I didn't get my money back.
