How I quitted alcohol.

In this discussion I'm gonna tell my little drinking story. Very briefly.
It was in the 2010 summer. I went out with my friends in this one night. The night started really well, I was with this friend of mine and he encouraged me to drink a whole jar of wine with a straw. If you guys don't know, drinking with a straw gets you drunk faster. Don't ask me why. So I went ahead and I drinked the whole thing and I was slightly changed. After spending time with my friend all crazy and drunk, I went to another group of friends. With these guys we went to drink beer and shots. A lot of them. After I drunk all of those I was completely drunk. I was dizzy and couldn't walk straight. I was so drunk that I accepted to go to the beach with them at 4am and go to the water all naked!! And if you guys knew me I'm a very calm person that doesn't accept these kind of "games". It was the craziest thing I did so far in my life.
So the night passed and we went to a coffee to eat to see if the drunkness passed. So we ordered some sandwiches and a little bit after I grabbed a bite I puked all over the floor. It wasn't a very pleasant experience. I went to catch a cab and my friends had to literally push me to get inside of it. And then when I arrived home I puked even more. It felt so bad that I can't describe it. Its a experiencie not to repeat.
So what did I learn with this? That I learned with my mistakes and I shall not get so drunk anymore. And that I shouldn't be encouraged by others to drink. I don't drink alcohol for months now because of this. I really did learn with my mistake. I won't say it wasn't a fun night, but honestly I don't wanna repeat it because my stomach was in a indescribable condition. I have friends that their "hobbie" is to puke every night that they go out. They seem to like it -.- I'm not like them. I know that driking can cause serious problems to your overall health. Moreover when you're still a teenager. Nowadays we start to drink really prematurely and that ain't good at all. They even don't like the taste of alcoholic drinks, they just drink them to be integrated in their group of friends or to just look cool to others. Stupid people -.-
Anyways... the point of this topic is for you mylotters to say if you have done something in the past that you regreted and shall never repeat again. Or if you had a drinking experience similar to mine.
All of your commentarys are aprecciated as long as they aren't spamming/flaming. Very much aprecciated.

I already knew this story because you told me before, I can't imagine how bad that was, I mean, the person you are running naked at the beach, can't imagine xDD, but I drink for 2 reasons, one of them is when I'm mad and I wanna do something crazy, that barely happens, but another of the reason which is the one that happens most of the times, is I wanna get out of my self, that means, I don't wanna be shy at any point, I wanna feel free to express myself and do or say whatever goes on my head, that's whats the drink is good for, in moderate quantities, it can do miracles, you don't neem to drink lots and lots of drink, a taste of it is enough, and if its fresh it feels good :D:D , soo yeah thats it mate :)
~~ Happy MyLotting!! ~~

Yeah I told it to you before xD, but the reasons why you drink I think that are just dumb. Drinking ain't a solution for anything in my opinion. If you're mad, stay mad. Or relief yourself doing some exercise or something. You don't need to drink to do crazy things -.- in my case it was like that but in that case of being mad it's different. And the other one you said that you drink so that you become more "open minded", less shy, I think that that is also dumb. Because you have got to be yourself. You are what you are and you shouldn't change yourself. Unless you wanna have a double personality, which it sucks. You should be only one person, not two different persons.
What I'm trying to say is... don't drink. Simple as that (:

It's good you've had the realization early on. It's harder to quit the habit once you're too much into it already. There are a lot of things I've done in the past that I wouldn't want to do again, but I don't have anything major, like your story, in my mind. Sure I've tried drinking with friends when I was younger, but I have not drank that much to get me drunk. I think it's all part of the experience of growing up. I just wish that people realize when to stop.
