Don't you hate it when your item has a TON of watchers but no bids?!

It just drives me NUTS! I have 15 watchers on an item currently, and not one bid! There is less than a day to go--why can't someone just place the minimum bid already? I get the point that they are all watching and waiting til the bitter end to hopefully "scoop" the item, but I have it listed for 99 cents. Is it really that much of a loss if they have to pay $1.05? Sorry for the venting, but it is a pet ebay peeve of mine. How about you?

Some people will just watch items to see what they eventually sell for. They might have a similar item to sell and want to get a feel for it. I do it myself.

And any serious bidders will wait till the last few minutes of the listing if they are going to bid at all. These premature bidders are what do my head in, if they are in fact even real bidders

50+ watchers! Now that would do my head in lol. Surly one of them should bid. Most watchers I have had was 15 but not a bid in site lol

Agreed! I do "watch" an item from time to time to see if it will sell for me too, but surely 50+ people aren't doing that! So why not just place a bid, already!

I don't use ebay as much any more either--too much of a site for buyers, rather than sellers. Have a great day!

It sure is. But then, much about Ebay is annoying these days.

Thanks--I ended up with 2 bids, after 56 people were watching it and it had over 100 views. . .oh well, at least it sold. One less item cluttering up my house!

I would like to sell something on eBay. But from the story you just told. More research and patience is needed.

It's not as easy as it used to be, especially for the small, occasional seller.

That is kind of annoying, it has been a long time since I have sold on there. But I remember when I did. Watchers at least meant someone is looking but of course they don't want to jump in and bid till the last minute, but when there are watchers that at least gives me hope that someone might bid, but until you actually get that first bid it is kind of scary.

EXACTLY! And you wonder why people are SSSOOO hesitant to take a risk on something that costs 99 cents. . .

i have to say that i am guilty of doing that. i watch a lot of items but bid on very few. i like to compare things because my money will only go so far.

At least you are honest about it! I do watch things, too, of course, but usually it's on things that have only 1 or 2 (or zero) watchers). My item is up to 54 watchers!!!

heehee. It has happened with me esp in summer when Americans are spending more time on beach than in front of computer.Lots of view but no buying. That was really annoying.

That's why I listed a bunch of stuff that was scheduled to end BEFORE Memorial Day weekend! People aren't supposed to be at the beach yet! But it is so hot here, I am sure they are going today or tomorrow.

I guess I miss the days when people just wildly bid on anything. . .!
