the issue of species dominance will dictate our globle politics this century.Given the rate at which technologies are developing that "artilects"-artificial intellects-it's likely that humanity will be able to build artilects with mental capabilities that are literally trillions upon trillions of times above human level.Humanity will then have to choose whether to become the no.2species on the planet or not?will the robot take over human? by the year 2030,one of the world's biggest industries will be "artificial brain",used to control home robots that will genuinely intelligent and useful.millions,of people will be prepared to spend more money on a househould robot than a car.you may object that a massive bit-processing rate is only a necessary condition for generating hyper-intelligence.agreed,what is also need is the appropriate human brain-like neural circuitry, but this is coming too.Nanotechnology,or molecalar scale engineering,is increasingly supplying to tools to decipher the secrects of human brain function.today thanks to HenriMarkram's work in Swizerland, every neural connection is know in a single cortical column of a rat brain's cortex.a rat has about a thousand such columns, each consistingof about 10000 highly interconnected neurons, and human brain contains about a million.following Moore's law,the whole rat brain will be thus simulated within a decade and the human brain a decade or two later. can the machine become smarter than humans?should there be a legislated upper limit to machine intelligence? the topic come from Dr.Huge de Garis, the director of the artificial brain lab,in the school of Information and Technology at xiamen University, xiamen,FUjian Province, where he directing the building of china's first artificial brain.

Howdy yo! dellahappy. . . . Damn! Skynet Project. Gov. Terminator should do something about this. hahahahaha As human why don't we get retired all about these machines vs humans or beasts vs humans. We always thinking and doing who is the king of the hill. I think these are one of the hindrance to our evolutions as human-beings and not as humans being a form of animals a beast or even the "thing". When will all these competitions be stop? We should not stop innovating technologies for all our humanities. Technologies should be have more senses on innovating humanities. Technologies should always help us, and not to compete with us human beings or our humanities. Thus, make us all human beings more intelligent with this innovative technologies. With these all of us humans and other beings as brighter and happier future. Slow down... Take a deep breath... Relax...today, be a human BEing, not a human DOing...

yes, part of what you said is reasonable but you can't deny that we never realized that the computer can develop so fast in 1980s,so this just what the forecasters and scientists' effort to try to make change, think about the achievement the AI have taken to our life,it's amazing and i am quite optimistic that the situation will develop along our expectation and benifit our human,a future in which we let the robots handle whatever load they can, freeing up the rest of us to live more leisurely...

I think that is promotion of human laziness or being sloth. I hope this will not diminish or totally eliminates human creativity to think and to do like as human being as should ever do. Yes, we have already the capabilities to create these technologies such as computers. But, it is still primitive, we have just creating and using these technologies just a couple of years back ago. Years or the time just go fast so quickly as if it is so many things have already happened since we create and using computers. And, still yet humans still not knows everything, even our very own self. We still have a lot of questions that computers or other technologies can not have all the answers or solve for us. All the answers will all belongs to our own to think, creativity or intelligence.

I agree with you , I think there is not much scope left in speedy computers rather than having a smart computer which could think and take decisions so that the better output can be retrieved. But the thing is again if the robot are enough able to think why they are going to work for us. In my view a human will not be ever able to make a robot which could ever think like humans.

Just relax and do not watch movies in which humans are fighting against Machines continually because it will capture your thinking process and it is reflecting in your postings. Take them as fiction movies nothing more than that. cheers
