At first what is your designation to your work? Does your attire related to the designation of your work?
Are you wearing uniform, usual business attire, or casual?
Are you comfortable with it? Why or why not?
When I was working in animation studio before when I really have to stay for overnight I really tend to wear like shorts and shirt with slippers. Since we are not require to wear business or even smart casual. We are working in animation studio like our house and we have to concentrate of what we are doing. Plus we are facing the animation disc that has light so probably sometimes it is hot on our face.
Then when I was a graphic artist in some company I really tend to do the same thing since it was not strict to the extent that some of my officemates are making fun of it because it is like I can really wear whatever I want. Because some of them are required to wear their business attire since they are going to face the client.

Here in our company we have our uniforms. We have two sets for the ladies and for the boys.
The other set is being used for Monday and Wednesday while the other one is for Tuesday and Thursday. So, Friday is wash day and we are free to wear our business attire. So we have to wear clothes that are appropriate for the office like blouses with skirt or pants even denim, as long as your look is business like. For the guys, they should wear shirts with collars.
For Saturday, it's half day only, so we can use casual wears.

So what kind of company is that? Are you comfortable with your uniform? It is okay for me to wear uniform but case to case basis of course I just don't like it when it is mini skirt. I am not into it.

We vote from amongst the designs gathered by HR for our uniforms. The most voted ones will be our new uniform.
Yes, i am comfortable with our uniforms. That way, i don't have to think of what to wear every morning as i prepare for work.

When we are meeting customers, we are expected to dress formal. However, we deal with customers who are casually dressed as well, so after a while, we dress like them too so we do not look overdressed to kill.
On other days, it is really up to us. A Tee is ok, but no shorts. Long pants is expected.
We have uniforms, but it is not a requirement for office staff, only those in production.

I wear casual wear...jeans and a shirt. In my line of work I deal with a lot of crap LOL, so it's really the only way to go. I've always been a jeans kind of gal anyway, so yes, I'm quite comfortable and have no problem with it.

I am Quality Analyst in a call center in the Philippines. My position is at supervisor level and I always wear business casual attire from Mondays to Thursdays and we can were casual jeans and shirts on Fridays. I admit that not all business attire is comfortable, but it will make you look good. People find me very fashionable and dandy, I don't know why. Maybe its how I wear the clothes.

That is opposite on my case that if I am not comfortable with it then I won't be wearing that. I am making sure that two things will come with it like being comfortable and looking good. Because sometimes I may really look good on what I wear but what if that is scratchy then I think it is useless.

I wear whatever is comfortable to me. Most of the time a shirt, walking shorts and rubber shoes. Somedays i go in the office wearing slippers. When i feel like dressing up, i go to work wearing long sleeves polo with some nice pants too :) I am an CG artist, so we are not required to be in uniform or in business attire. XD

I used to work in a call center where we can wear casual attire. On weekends we are allowed to wear shorts, sandals, that sort. I really liked it. Coz I like wearing jogging pants, leggings and a shirt with sneaker/rubbershoes when going to work, since it's a graveyard shift. I feel comfortable and I find it cool.
But when a client is coming then we're required to wear smart casual or business casual. That's okay, it only happens once in a year for a few days. You're lucky if it's your rest day!!! LOL

Good thing you are just required to wear formal when it is only needed. But at least you can always wear comfortable clothes.

My main job is working at a school with younger children, so I wear casual clothes that won't matter if they get dirty because they will, whether it's from sitting on the floor with the kids, paint or something else. At one of my part time jobs, I can wear casual clothes as well. At my other part time job, I have to wear business casual. I am fine with wearing the attire that is appropriate for each job, but there are somedays where I just want to wear my pajamas.

Our office is casual wear unless of course the clients or big bosses are scheduled for a visit. It makes it a much more relaxed atmosphere for the agents to work in. It's a call center.

Yeah when it comes to call center they are not really strict when it comes to attire as long as you are comfortable with it. Even the bosses at times they are just wearing casual as long as they don't have meetings and there is no client at all.

It is very necessary to wear business attire while you are working in a office. I will tell you about myself I go for tutor classes of financial planning after six months iam going to work in a company our professors have always be telling us to wear formals just to make a habbit for the job but we inttented and started wearing casuals honestly I find wearing formals very boring because of the hot climate and uncofortability but I have made my mind that for one day using business attire will be necessart in office so I think my friend you should also keep the habbit of wearing business attire in front of clients it shows your professional approach.

Yes of course I believe that when we are going to face a client we should really wear business attire so that their impression to us is that they would believe to us for being a credible staff and a person that they can respect. I hate wearing formals as well because of the climate. Are you also living in the Philippines that is why you mentioned about the climate? But that is case to case basis. As an artist we are not usually require to wear formal attire since we are just going to work on computer and most of the time we are only facing a thing not a human. I hope when I am looking for a job it is not a requirement anymore to wear formal attire. Smart casual would do but not the business attire.

Hi metatronik: nice that you can wear casual for you work. In my case I never can do it. I am a lawyer and when i am in my office or presenting a request to the judges, I need to look as a businessman, that's what everyone is expecting for a professional like me. But when I am outside I wear more casual clothes.

Hello Attorney
Oh yes! lawyers are really required to be in business or formal attire even if you are just going to meet a client in field or outside the office. Even if you are just going to the homes. So that client would believe that you are credible enough to handle their cases and look someone that people would respect. Well in my previous job I am just wearing the casual but it depends on the company that I am going to apply. Most likely we are required as well to wear formal even though we are just an artist.

In our office, we are free to wear anything as long as it is decent. Some even wear shorts and slippers. We are not so strict in the dress code because our company is on software development. So as long as we are comfortable with what we wear.
Sometimes I wanted to have a uniform so I won't buy too many clothes. But sometimes wearing no uniform is also nice because I can go anywhere I wanted to.

That is good idea. Because when I am in other company there was a time that I am only wearing slippers then shirts and some kinda long shorts. There was a time that it was not really strict when it comes to attire that is why I am totally comfortable with it.

I started my career as an Associate and yes it was really a nice experience for me. Later on i got promoted as Team Lead and Now i am working as Manager of the MNC company. About uniforms, yes i do follow certain rules not only for me but also for the employees for us. I like to wear formals which makes me to feel that i am professionist and it shows the discipline. I use to wear formals from Monday to Thursday and Friday will be casual dress. So i am really enjoying my work with my associates and team leads. It is really a nice job.

What is MNC mean and where is that located?
That is good to know that you are professional and attire would be very important to that part because at least you know that people will believe your credibility and they will respect you.
In our case in arts field we don't really need to wear professional attire because we are more on visuals.

I wear a uniform at work, which is worn for protection. My uniform consists of a white coverall over which I wear a pith-helmet covered by a veil tied tightly around my waist. I wear elbow length leather gloves, and my pant cuffs are tied tightly around the ankles. My work areas are bee-yards filled with 25 or 30 colonies of honey bees. I work in the summer, when the temperature can get hot, but I am used to the conditions, because its my chosen work.
I enjoy my work very much and it is very rewarding.

Wow so what kind of work is that? That is understandable to wear that kind of uniform especially for protection purposes. If you really like the job then of course you won't care of the attire that you are wearing.

In the office, it's business casual if there are visitors and casual on other days. However, we are not allowed to wear spagheti strap shirts, short skirts, shorts, tattered jeans or anything that's too revealing.

I don't like to be very formal in fact. I like to be casual almost all times, just to be more comfortable and not worrying about my clothes, just enough to keep them clean :).
I work in an office too, and there very few really cares for the dressing, most of my teammates use casual clothes only, mostly jeans, shirts/t-shirts, and slippers most of the time. Even a few of them go there on shorts and sandals, and not precisely the women. Only the bosses of my boss use more frequently some formal clothing, but not always too. Since we work in computer programming, we have no direct contact with customers, only on the phone occasionally, but we are not required any special attires. But the case is different when we have to do a visit to a client site, then we should be more formal, but again, a few cases we have gone to clients informally dressed.

From Monday to Thursday, I wear office uniform which could be either blouse and skirt or blouse and pants. But on Fridays, we have the freedom to wear whatever we want as long as it's decent and proper. We could wear jeans with a blouse or a polo shirt. We are not allowed to wear slippers except during rainy season where we could used in coming to office but we should have an extra pair of shoes to replace it once inside the office.

So what kind of company is that? Actually in any corporate world we are not really allowed to wear slippers. I was just lucky before that I can do that in previous company because my boss is not that strict when it comes to attire. And yeah I am always wearing slippers.
