Mylot vs Facebook

I don't seem to compare Mylot and Facebook. In Mylot we get to say our opinions and share it with members here and we get some amount about that participation that we do. It is good that at least a penny saved is a penny earned and thanks to Mylot. But in terms of connecting with friends, you don't seem to compare Mylot with this one, you don't use the search engine of Mylot to look for your highschool friends and communicate with them, that is one big difference of Mylot and Facebook. Second thing is that Facebook concentrates more of Socializing with friends, loved ones, relatives, enemy etc, playing online facebook games, posting pictures and sharing them with friends. Unlike here on Mylot, most of us are here for one good reason, to answer a question posted which will help a member and to add some members that we think will be okay to be friends, that's how this site works, you gain knowledge, you gain experience and also some cents. I have been here for years, I do come and go. I only come when I have time, I don't come here on Mylot to look and see if my so called friends are online unlike in Facebook that you can talk to them or chat them online. These two sites are really not the same, and you can never ask your nephew or niece (kids) to join Mylot because they cannot and they won't enjoy, that's reality. You cannot even force someone and say, hey go join Mylot and you can earn money, done that.. most friends are not even interested, they still go for Facebook, this is true to my experience.

Well said. From someone who has been a member now for a little over 4 1/2 yrs. now myLot continues to be a Great place to be. Here you can come and share about the things happening in your life and such and have someone who actually cares and will offer you hope as well. Yes, it is true we get paid here which is nice, but I feel we can often develop a deeper friendship and be able to help each other out more as well. Not sure if this site would ever outdo Facebook as some people only go there for the games, but overall if it is about friendship and being able to meet people who care this would be one of the Best places to start.

I in fact use mylot much more than i use facebook this is probably due to the financial incentive.However i don't think that it will overtake facebook as the number one social networking site as facebook has the image of being fun and cool while my lot is more about work or at least more serious and less relaxing due to the concentration needed to write good quality posts.

mylot is waaayyy different from facebook. i like both sites though.. only few of my friends use mylot, while the other hundreds use and play in facebook.. but i dont like how the messaging page of facebook looks now.. its pretty terrible and confusing.. i like the old one..

mylot is a very wonderful site that i have recently found and i really like it, people share opinions, questions, life giving anwsers and much more, i'm more on this website then on facebook, one of the reason ofcourse is that mylot pays, and with that facebook suffers horibly with progression but well facebook is something i call EGO and MyLot is something i call GOD =D

yeah, i feel the family spirit in this site...and people here posts a lot of worthwhile topics and comments, i just love starting discussiions, commenting on others' discussions and reading and replying to comments on my discussions :) this site added significance to my life, makes me think and discover my thoughts about various topics. and of course it gives back to its subscribers, so its a win-win for all. if this site would have a chat feature :) it will be the best site indeed. facebook is still significant to me tho, coz ive met the most awesome people there, my soul family, and closest friends are there, so both fb and myLot are winners for me, both connects people which is the most important thing to me. :) blessings!

It is pretty change when in comparison mylot to facebook. I definitely think that facebook is free social network, while mylot is paying sites that pay for what you do here. But I would trying to keep both sites separate, because mylot is more like a website for me to work on, while facebook is more like a website for me to socialize with closed friends. I would separate both of them.

Sorry but I just don't see myLot getting anywhere near Facebook. In fact, the fact that this site pays people to discuss things might be detrimental to its success. Research has proven that a monetary incentive actually has adverse effects when it's used as a reward for doing tasks that require thought. The comparison between this site and Facebook is also fundamentally flawed because they serve a completely different purpose. For one, I don't see people posting pictures of themselves to show the world, or exploring each other's pages. A huge difference is also the moderation that happens on myLot and the very little that happens on Facebook. PS. How appropriate for myLot to become unresponsive as I try to post this. Of course this will improve as this site improves, but until then you can't compare the two on that notion either.

yes, we have a very good chance to get it, if all of us have greta number of referals this site, at the moment i dont know how is the rank but for sure we can achieve good rank bethwin social sites. i ho´pe somehow mylot can add an option for us to upload videos or pictures that we can easilly browse.

I think they're two different networks. Facebook is much more personal and focused the individual's mood and stories. It also allows people to share thoughts in a more direct way. MyLot, on the other hand, allows the user to share thoughts with everyone, therefore it's a "public" network, less focused on the relationships between users. Also, fb offers more tools to interact with other users; myLot is of course more interesting because it pays users to write on the website. Therefore, I think the two sites will continue to exist without getting into competition; this way, we'll be sharing our stories on fb and our thoughts and questions on myLot.

i dont think so mylot would be as popular as facebook, the interface the options the games the chatting option the picture albums the videos posting make facebook much better site than mylot. and also i dont think so mylot is a social networking site as facebook, ya the fact that yew get paid on mylot, would not attract millions of people around the world to join mylot and post comments just to earn some cents out of it. and facebook is way more entertaining than mylot.
