There are a lot of scenes on the novel which placed Christians in bad light, though the story was genuinely crafted. After reading the book and watching the movie, a very big question mark was left on my head regarding my religion! Anyone who has read the book? I need your comment!

Welcome to My Lot.
I haven't read this particular work of Dan Brown's, but I have seen the movie many times. I have read all of Dan Brown's other works though. I would encourage you to continue reading his other works to get a better assessment of him. He presents two balanced views & argues very strongly & about equally in favour of each. This is even more apparent in Angels & Demons. The books & the movies, as you have said, are very well-crafted & beautifully presented in great detail. They are also very thoroughly researched.
The complex issues presented are not fictitious at all! Some of the world's greatest Theologians, Christian & other Bible Scholars have successfully, logically & coherently argued for centuries in favour of these very things! Their findings, both from a historical & archeological perspective, have been published & reiterated over & over again since the Reformation & in secret before that time. The Catholic Church's own Vatican Archives alone contain all the proof anyone will ever need. This is but the tip of the iceberg & it should serve to encourage the reader / viewer to further their own research on these matters with an open mind as a matter of urgency.

Thank you for your comment. Honestly, I'm ashamed to say that this book is the only book that I've read from Dan Brown. Maybe I'm a little hesitant to read his other books because of fear.. but reading your comment here, I think I'm going to read his other books as well.:)

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I can understand your fear. Angels & Demons is supposed to be one of his best works. It makes for really good, easy reading, but enough detail to be really interesting. It is thicker than the DaVinci Code, but you will fly through the chapters once you get past the "boring" ones near the beginning.

I am a writer in my native language and I would never try to read fiction as if it were real. I read and enjoyed the novel, but I also think that even there not all Christians were put there in the same bag.
We all know anyway that the Catholic Church has many different sections. Ones are more conservative and others mor liberal. You can chck that at the web.

I have read the book and watch the movie.I have been raised in a christian family but I'm an open minded person.I don't think that the book actually places Jesus in a bad light. What they said is that leaders of the church especially Constantine who was a pagan had introduce paganism into Christianity. Thus making Jesus a son of God instead of a prophet which can be true.I believe some informations written in the book are facts and Dan Brown must be really an intelligent person to have written that book. It just tries to point out how the leaders of the church had brainwashed the followers of Christianity and divert us to the true message of Jesus'"To worship only one God.
