Is it okay to check your boyfriend's/girlfriend's phone?

I don't check my boyfriend's phone because I believe I would be invading his privacy if I do. Eventhough we are committed, there are still things that he wants to keep to himself. However, I have a friend who said that I should check his phone just to make sure that he is not doing anything that may ruin our relationship. What do you think? Should I follow my friend's advice?

Listen what your friend said "You must check his phone just to make sure yhat he isn't doing anything that may ruin your relationship".So if you check and he did. Your relationship will be ruined. If you don't check your relationship will be remainig like before. So why to make your relationship difficult. If you trust your boyfriend why do you need this checking. If not why do you need this relationship.

Girls, if your boyfriends want to cheat you and make onetime relations with another girl they will do this with no difficulties. Your cheking of his phone won't help. Phone checking is usefull only in that case if he wants serious relations with another. But if it so I think fast or slow you will whatever you do.

My boyfriend and I checks each other's phone often. It does not mean that we don't trust each other but we just want to be transparent because on the moment that we committed, we also promised not to keep anything from each other. Trust is a very sensitive topic and you will never gain trust if you try to keep someting to each. If your boyfriend really loves you, he won't mind you checking his phone---that is, if he's not hiding anything from you. Remember, nobody wants to be fooled!
