I don't know if any of you have encountered this. There are anime shows I've seen where the main character is replaced as the main by another character. I've seen two shows so far. First was Shadow Skill, main character is Elle then somewhere in the middle focus shifted to Elle's apprentice Gau. Second was Gundam seed destiny, main character was Shin then also somewhere in the middle focus was shifted to Kira who was the main protagonist of Gundam Seed. To make matters worst, I didn't see any character development in Shin until the end of the show.
Don't you find it weird about shows that change main protagonists? I feel like there is some injustice done. Do outside factors like fans or viewers have something to do with the change? Any ideas?

I kind of pity Shin, not only was he booted back but also became one of the antagonists...

I'm not sure about other reason aside from the feedback from the fans. Probably in the middle of making the anime or manga, the creator also changes so there is a shift in character. Or probably they do this for us expect the unexpected.

I don't know any other genre that does this. I, too, would like someone to explain why.

I think the response of the fans is a big factor in a show. Maybe the viewers are making comments regarding the characters and requesting for that kind of change in a show. Those event often occur in drama series, maybe it's also applicable with anime.Well in my opinion it's not fair for the character who were introduced as the main protagonist in the start of the series then been replaced by another.
