I don't know why the politicians always mix politics with the religion and they will change the society mind not only they will change but also make us to fight each other means amongst the different religions. There is no matter if he is our religion then he won't do such greatful things to us. It should be a common politician where he should not think about the religion and while giving a speech he never should take up the religion. Nowadays i think politics is too worst than ever i saw.

That's right, politics and religion are two very different themes and should not be mixed.
But, along the history, the kings and other politics always used the religion to justify their wishes and wars. The religion had a power and influence over people which the politics used to get people fighting for them. And the church and/or papes wanted protection and money. So they decided to deal together different contracts. It's only a question of power and interests.

Kings are always did that because they wanted win the battle and they were selfish. So if the politician uses the same factor in the election then please friends don't believe him/her. Because that kind of politicians are selfish and they won't do anything to the society after electing them.

Kings do what they did in history because they (as well as their subjects) believed that they have a divine right to rule. as they were appointed by God, they can practically do anything they want. Granted that majority of them are selfish and some of them are absolute corrupt. Then again, how would a voter know if a selfish politician is selfish or not?

No matter what country you belong to , Religion is an issue that can be used, abused and manipulated by the politicians. In my country too this happens all the time and people are fed up of it. But , the politicians think that it is a trump card that can be used time and again to generate sympathy and create vote banks..

I think religion is the only thing which makes people to fight each other and even for politicians use it often to start battle of words with the ruling government. First politicians make us to fight each other then once it is finished they will show sympathy and they will say that they will support that particular religion or else they will say that we will take care of this so at least for that reason they need our vote.

I suppose you're a KABABAYAN. From the Philippines? Trust me, it really gets on my nerves when I see a religious leader on TV bashing on how the laws should be make or commenting on one wrong move by politicians and so on.
On the other hand, I always don't like the fact that politics should interfere with your faith.

hi! yup have a gut feeling he's a kababayan! lol
I am tired with all the controversy of this bill especially pacman, mommy D and senator santiago thrown in the lot together with the church and politicians debating about this.
With the RH bill I think that it would benefit the citizen and the politician should just approve the bill.
I think that politics and church should not be mix. the church should just leave politics to the politicians.

In an ideal world, it might be possible. But we're not living in one so we have to grin and bear the consequences of the mixing of two large institutions. Religion and politics have been always been relative and sometimes, come with each other, depending on the situation . Our own history tells us the disastrous effects of two - creating a toxic poison that crippled the society at that time. Both two areas commands power and influence over people and mostly in politicians, who hold the representative power.
Politicians, like you and me, have their own religions views. It could help sometimes if they let the people's will and the sensible good in their heads rather than their personal beliefs and religious relationship. I don't believe that politicians can make the people fight for a religion against another religion. Frankly, that's a waste of a politician's time especially if there's already a dominant religion in the society.
Politics is always dirty that why people with good intentions should never go into that particular arena.

Friend, you may feel that its a waste of time but for politicians it is very useful for them to comment on the ruling party or the present government. Nowadays there are such cases where there is a fight in between the religions, then that will be the right time for the politicians to speak up.

Yes dude it must not be mixed the religion with politics but i had seen many who say like this in early stage and when they became leader they do the same which they previously opposing.
Leader didn't think of people they just hink of grabing votes and the religious leader which donot go to either of parliament or assembly try to spread the communal air so that peple have faith in them and they get handsome money from them as people give so called "chdhaba".
Now a days nobody think of religion but of self and it the fact.

That's the big problem here in the Philippines, there are laws made for order and yet we don't follow it. What's the use of this separation of Church and state article anyway? We make rules just for show not for enforcement.

I also think religion should have nothing to do with politics;in the past the Church was very powerful in some countries and many people were oppressed by it,such as it happened with the Spanish Inquisition.Such things shouldn't happen again, religion must be completely separated from political power.

Sometimes the past is confusing religion with politics, as was true for Protestants and Catholics, many were made out of political interest. Today, surely, the church should not be mixed with politics.
If the Church would begin to become directly a political agent, would do more for the poor and for justice, but would do less, because it would lose its independence and its moral authority, identifying a unique political opportunity and positions partial view. Church is the advocate of justice and the poor, precisely because that is not identified with politics, nor with party interests. Only by being independent, it can guide consciences and offer a life choice that goes beyond politics.

I am so unfortunate to have this country (Malaysia) to be ruled by racist politicians. We as Chinese ethnics contribute about 25% to the total population of this country. Because of political issues, they sacrifice the multi-religion concepts and values because they want to win the heart of the one has highest population in the country. So, they will not lose in the coming election.
This might be a trick, but all of us know about it. We can't do anything but with youth's awareness nowadays, we hope for a better day in the future.
