I spent some time to watch Insidious earlier and it was a real good movie. Some would say that it's not scary and so on , but I think it's a well done , good job and pat at the back type of movie. Whatnot ... since you have the creators of Saw and the producers of Paranormal Activity combining their intelligence to showcase their expertise in this story. No blood , no gore ... but plain horror/mystery/haunting. IF you like paranormal movies , then you should watch.
A bit of a spoiler alert:
I jolted quite a few times .. especially .. during one scene when the really cute baby's crying and the scene with the wife in the bedroom , whew! Sweat......
I understand that the movie has been released earlier in the US , so how was it for you guys? And above all , do you believe in astral projection? No right or wrong answer , up to individual .. let's just share our thoughts here. Have a good evening or morning / afternoon to all.

Kiddo...believe or not believe...here is some paranormal stuff for you ... presented logically.
Do you accept that matter can neither be created nor destroyed? Well, do you accept that you cannot imagine something that does not exist? Somewhere that combination that you saw exists in the Universe. And may be somewhere down the lane, some centuries down the lane, you will come across it, you being somebody who has been broken down into your molecular composition, and rebuilt several times over.
So..it boils down to stop imagining horror, enjoy some good movies like Breakfast at Tiffany's, Roman Holiday, or The Sound of Music. Good things also happen if you are constantly listening and watching and thinking good. :)

I love movies! Don't care if its scary or not just as long as it gives me the satisfaction I want. If the movie wants to scare the viewers then I guess I'm expecting to be scared and that is how I rate movies. Anyway about astral projection, I believe in it and I think somehow I had experience doing it, I'm not sure though, maybe I was just imagining it but nevertheless I still believe in it. It is also an essential study in psychology.
I will watch the movie because you made me very curious about it

Yes , yes..true. That's what it's all about and that's why there are genres. Well said buddy. I love scary , funny , sad , soppy ...angry movies (reminds me of the title Drive Angry...) too. I think movie-goers are more clever nowadays and they know what they seek in order to entertain themselves. Do watch it buddy , it's worth the time and money , IMO. I'm sure you will like it too. Just check out Facebook and type Insidious movie and you will see around 300, 000 likes or so. WOW!

It's great to have you again drannhh. Thank you...
Paranormal stuff is actually kind of silly ....and believe it or not , some scenes tend to make you laugh too because it's kind of ridiculous ..the way the ghosts try to haunt and etc in movies , that is.

I have not heard of this movie but since i am looking for a movie to watch this weekend, i will look for this one and from the way you describe it, it sounds interesting and i will tell you how i think of it after i watch it.
As for astral projection, i have nt seen it with my own eyes for me to believe in it. But i have read books about it that details how it happens. But then again, for me to see is to believe or to go through it first for me to believe in it. But then again, anything is impossible. It can be true, i am not ruling it out either.

Hi zed - Good afternoon on my end!
With my boyfriend being an actor we get loads of free movie passes, and never miss any new films. Sadly he has been so busy for a while, which is actually a good thing, but we have not gone to the theater in several months.
Luckily our passes do not expire and we continually get more. After your explanation of the film and the spoiler, I went online and huh, it will scare the beegee's out of me. But my kind of film. So it will be on my list of must sees. lol
Probably not for a couple months because along with his acting he is now Directing.

HWG , awesome........I need to find more time to watch movies. Love free passes too....have you watched Pirates of The Caribbean? It's just awesome , especially the mermaid scenes. Psssssssst ..the hissing sounds , which turns wicked after seducing the men on the boat. Oooops , I won't spoil it further for you. Go watch it...and watch Paul too. Darn hilarious.

Hey zed !
You know, we Indians firmly do believe in astral-projection.
Its been in our sacred texts the "Vedas", for centuries, and to be honest, Vedas have nothing to do with religion.
Actually, astral-projection is one of the highest states of yoga. Now a days, yoga has become a term which is related more to physical fitness than what it actually means, ie "spiritual experience". Probably Arbindo Ghosh was the the last to describe it that way. Today most of "yog gurus" have made their living, teaching yoga's physical aspects. They are not at fault, but the west has accepted Yoga as a means to keep ones body fit, then what can done. It all lies in the eyes of the viewer. Whatever he views it to be, he eventually gains the same from it, depending on his belief.
Enjoy mylotting. :)

Hi zed, actually paranormal and horror movie are quite attractive. I think it's more appropriate for those daring person like you. I love to watch as well but it's so scary that the dreadful scene will appear instantly when I'm alone in night time especially in strange places like lying in the hotel room All the dreadful scene would haunting for quite a long time, like some horrific scene as well as the background music will come to the fore when I'm in a great fear alone in somewhere at night
Happy posting and have a nice day

Hiya lkbooi. I know what you mean. Some scenes just keep on coming to your mind and that's why many people refuse to listen or watch horror stories. I was laughing with my peepz at the theater because of the suspense built up. It was worth the money to watch Insidious. In Facebook , there have been around 300 ,000 likes. WOW!!! Just amazing. I can't wait for Insidious part Deux.

Gee Zed, you've sure whet my appetite. It sounds like an excellent movie. I'm into thrillers and if there are a few other type juicy scenes thrown in, so much the better. I have no idea what astral projection is so I can't tell you if I believe in it or not.
I don't get to see many mainstream new releases. It would be good if all movies were sent to video stores a then later to TV but that doesn't happen all that often.
Whatever happens to some of the great big screen movies that don't go to TV or DVD??? And what happens to the ones that make it to DVD new releases but then vanish after that. I'm sure someone knows the answer - it truly baffles me.

i have to really look for this discussion because i just watched the movie Saturday night and it was pretty scary, though i did not like how it ended. And yes the part of the baby crying with the wife getting scared and seeing that person inside the bedroom was pretty scary
if astral projection is true, it is pretty scary!

Hi Zed
I dont prefer the Horror flicks but my wife loves to watch them. And feels that we should visit theaters for watching them. That said, I can understand that watching a Horror Movie at the Theater is better and more scary than watching it on a PC. Havent known about this movie - INSIDIOUS - but now I feel interested. Maybe find a DVD or anything as it will be ages before it hits theaters here.
For the Astral Projections, yes, there are times when I can do nothing but blame them... but I doubt if I believe them strongly

I've never heard of anyone here locally going through astral projections as well. I'm guessing there will be lots of videos of this on YouTube. Take a look at Insidious trailer bro ..and if you like it , you can watch it on DVD soon. Your wife is cool to love to watch horror flicks and you are lovely enough to accompany her.

Astral projection is a belief of many tribes across the globe however science is cunningly blocking the thought cause they cannot logically explain it. I've watched this movie a couple of times and I can't help jumping out of my seat because of the thrilling scenes and sound. It has a nice toryline, a simple plot and very realistic behaviors of the characters. I like paranormal movies because I strongly believe in the context.

Me too ... finally I've found someone with the same interest as me. I mean it's not that we are seeking ghosts , it's just that paranormal movies have the extra edge. I love that movie too , and it's awesome that you've watched it a couple of times. Which scene did you like most ? Mine would be near the room where the kid jump off .....saucy spooky!
