Life can bring a lot of stress and anxiety on us. Which will affect our health. For me I try to think about positive things. I try not to dwell on the negative things. I try to get enough rest, eat healthy and help others. When I'm helping others I don't dwell or focus on problems and that helps me to relax.

Nice Dominique25! I like that you don't dwell on the negative because negative attracts more negative!!! I like to eat healthy (as in no processed or fast foods) lots of veggies and fruits when i have the money that is. I also go for hikes for some fresh air and exercise. I like to also meditate every night to relax & de-stress!

I agree with you that processed and fast foods are bad for us. It is amazing how much food that is actually bad for us when we do research. It is better to eat fresh fruits and vegetables and to get protein from foods such as brown rice and beans, and other protein rich foods.

I agree it is good for us to relax. A lot of the time we are so busy that we don't even have time to think. We've got to make time for relaxation as well. Eating healthy is very important as well.

At my age, I have to check my health at the doctor and follow their sugestions. I used to buy and eat vitamin and mineral pills without asking them but later heard that it would not help me and it´s a wasted money. So my main care is that and eating a balanced meal.

I agree that it is good to eat a balanced meal. Eating right does help our health a great deal. There are so many harmful things in a lot of foods that we have to watch out for.

I live in a stressful situation that I cannot get away from. I am the caregiver for my son who was seriously injured in a car accident. I have begun trying to surround myself with positive things. Like I follow tweets that offer inspirational sayings or positve thoughts. I am also active as I run the mornings the aid comes. Plus I push him through the park most afternoons. I know the sun and fresh air are good for him - but I need it too! I'm also thinking of starting a blog about this very topic!!

I'm sorry to hear that your son was in a car accident. Being a caregiver requires a lot of self sacrifice and commitment. I'm sure that it takes a toil on you. Taking time for yourself is very important. It helps you to be able to continue to be a caregiver as you are refreshed after your time.

I agree with you that we've got to find something that we personally enjoy to relax. It's really relaxing when it's something we like. I will continue to make time to relax and enjoy activities that are fun for me.

Thinking positive is one factor that is the same with keeping yourself contented and I always smile. My husband and I are health conscious and we avoid food that will harm our body like foods with high cholesterol, we always have fruits and vegetables in every meal, we take enough rest, we drink 8-10 glasses of water a day and we take the best supplements that are really effective. Effective vitamins are absorb by the body. If you can see that your urine after few hours that you took your vitamins, it means that you are wasting your money for that vitamins and it flushes out of your body. I suggest that you can search for Usana Essentials. Even we're tired of work or haven't slept for 8 hours, it doesn't show.

I'm glad that you and your husband are health conscious. That is a very good thing as the things we take into our body and what we do affect us greatly. I'm so happy for the both of you that you both work hard to do these things together. It is a great achievement.

I am learning to finally let go and let my adult children make their own mistakes as I had to do when I was growing up myself.
I like to craft a lot. I knit 4" squares for a wonderful organization that gives Loveghans to people in need, and I also cross stitch. I am working on a piece for my granddaughter for her Xmas present.
I have a lot of health problems and while I try to eat properly and drink water, I am really having to learn to break bad habits.
But when I feel bad, when I work on my crafts I don't notice pain or hurt as bad.

I'm glad that working on your crafts helps you feel better. It is hard to find enjoyment out of our life when we are in pain. So if doing those types of things help then that is wonderful. I can imagine how hard it is to let your children make mistakes we want to protect them from everything that's harmful.
