I just completed a survey that was supposed to only take 15 minutes so I thought sure why not but it ended up taking a whole hour
I was mildly annoyed by the time I was finally finished cuz I really thought it was a quick one, also I had other stuff to do so I really didn't have time to spend an hour but I had already started so I could not leave the survey, goodness why do these company's say there survey will only be 15 minutes when its obviously too long to be 15?

Thats EXACTLY why I dont do surveys any more!!! They take entirely too long and its always the same darn information. I only do clixsense surveys and only when I have nothing else to do and I mean nothing to do. I sure hope they paid you well for all that time.

They are worth doing. I made $10 amazon gift card in 3 weeks and they didnt mail the gift card; they emailed me a link to use. I bought coffee that same day! I would have made payout much sooner but got very bored with doing the surveys. I still get TONS of emails from them. I joined because they are one of the few sites that pay you 10-20 cents even if you dont qualify for the survey. Cant beat that!

Yeah, I have experience the same too, there are many time I received a survery that they mention can be done within 10 to 15 min but actually it took more than an hour and sometime longer than that. I am not sure how actually they estimate the completion time but I believe if you just simply put in any answer without thinking, it will be 15 min like what they estimated.LOL But that is not what they want. It is tough to not to answer the question carefully after spend 10 to 20minutes of time, there may be filter that stop us half way after we have spend so much time, and suddenly you got the message that you are actually not qualified for the urvey. That will be the most frustrated moment after spent so much time and yet being stopped half way and the worst part is not getting any points or pay.
I sometime will leave the survey half way and come back later to continue the rest of the question. At least I won't feel bored to keep answering question for an hour or longer.

The longest survey I ever completed was 1 hour, I hate it when the survey company sends me an e-mail, stating the length of time for the survey, they say 10 minutes or 15 or 20 minutes but actually the survey is really an hour long and boring.

my longest survey i've completed took me about 35 minutes, the good thing i got like 80 cent for it :-)
these company's say that survey will take like 10-15 minutes but it actually takes longer
probably they think, if we write 10 minutes people will do it, if we say it will take an half an hour less people will do it
i'm not sure about this tho

I also encounter such survey. It says that it'll take 30 mins to complete but actually consume 1 h 30m. And Take note I only earn 3 cents from that.I quit after that. Maybe surveys are just not for me.

What annoys me the most is the OTX surveys. You spend like 20 minutes doing the questions, and then they tell you that you don't qualify for any survey. I quit doing those surveys a long time ago. Now and then they pop up in another site I belong to, and I just skip them.

Hi there apples
I so know where you are coming from. The trouble is that you don't want to give up on them after 20mins or so just in case it nearly finishes. Lately I have had the same problem and have just given up on them. You are near the allotted time and all of a sudden they ask this really long winded question that requires lots of answers and if I am not in the mood then tht is when I shut it down! It is so frustrating though

Not in the same scale, but similar issue.
I just did one that initially said, only 2 minutes to complete. Fifteen minutes into it, was only when I saw the thank you page.
I think it's a common theme for the people that send out the surveys. To make it look as if it's quick and easy, to attract more people that would do them.

Oh gosh yes and do I ever know this feeling. I can't stand when they say 20 minutes and I am still at it after 50 minutes. By that point I am so bored and huffing/puffing with regrets. I do answer carefully because I do know they do monitor and not wanting my account to be canceled I bare through it.
I will however, the next time I see one waiting for me to complete and it says 15 minutes, make sure to set aside an hour just in case. lol

I've encountered such surveys too. IT's supposed to take me minutes ended up 30mins long. For those supposed to be 45mins, only takes half the required time to complete. It's a weird thing, especially when one is halfway through the survey, it can stop suddenly telling me their quota is up, and i'm only credited a few points. That's not fair for people like us right? HOwever, i'm glad that doesn't happen often, so i'm still staying with it.

Yes, I experienced too some sort of long surveys. Sometimes you will be redirected to some pages that offers too survey. I'm confused now if it is part of the survey that I am taken or not.

i think my longest survey was about 30 mins, i dont know if this kind of work is worth it though? just started this kind of work for the last month and it is a little bit on the slow and boring side. if any good sites please let me know. but some surveys can be fun, they can take alot of your time as well.

I have never spent an hour taking a survey... as far as I can remember, the longest one was about 20-25 minutes. Anyway, if it gets too long you'd better give up or try giving random answers to the less important questions.
I usually read carefully each question, but if it gets boring I simply pick an answer and go ahead.
