hi! Who among of you prefer reading a book than watching its movie. A lot of movies like Narnia, Harry Potter, Lord of the rings, Eclipse, New moon etc have been derived from books. Some people enjoy more the story when they read it and others appreciate it more if they just watch it on big screen. Not all have the same opinion . I think I appreciate more , the reading because when you read you are able to broaden your imagination of the story, on the contrary you will also appreciate the hi-tech effects of relaying the story in the movie. Either of them you like, the important thing i to understand the story and enjoy while doing it. Have a great day.
What about you??

I also think it is better to read the book since it is, most o the time better than the movie. But I prefer to watch the movie first though- since it's hard to find a copy of the book- and i don't really love to read them.

I have always been a book reader, I can have several on the go at any one time. I think if you read the book first you gain an appreciation for the writer as well as a deeper understanding of the story they want to tell.
Movies are great to watch and I enjoy watching the movie of a book I have read. However, there is no time limitations within a book like there is a movie. So much information is lost in a movie. I have found myself explaining parts of movies to people who haven't read the book as they find they have lost connection or missed something.
So if I had to choose one or the other it would be a book, absolutely.

Honestly I never read the great books such as Hrry Potter, Narnia, Twillight, etc because I'm not good book reader. I can't stand read a hundred pages of book even my curiosity ask me to do. But the movie, I love them so much!!!

Books , because in a book it's describe something with many arguments. In a movie, the director makes the movie how he want , and maybe we will change many.If you read a book , your vocabulary will improved and nobody will say to you that u don't know your language

I enjoy both reading books and watching movies, but it all depends on what time of the day it is. Grabbing a book is faster than inserting a DVD. Books also take longer to read than movies take to watch, so that's longer fun.

With the Harry Potter books and Narnia books, I had read from those first so watching the film you would still be making lots of comparisons between two and the book is always better if you have read the book beforehand. With Twilight I saw the films before reading books, I tried reading the books after watching film I found it very difficult to get into them so I think it really depends what you try first. Usually the thing that you have seen first is the better of the two, personally that's how I find it anyway.

they say you can never go wrong with a good book, i guess we can say that to movies, as long as they are good it will be worth watching it. books gives the mind the opportunity to imagine and and explore areas one has never thought of before. movies somehow doesnt give you that, but i can say the good movies are those kinds that unfolds inside your mind, movies like this these goes inside the mind of a person and brings him inside the movie, making him or her experience it as his own.
