Do you wake up energized in the mornings or are you still tired?

Its been a long time since I woke up energized and ready to start my day lately I've been tired and weak and slightly grumpy during the day
I guess maybe its partly my own fault for unhealthy sleeping habits, and other life style changes but I really miss the days of being able to stay up late and still wake up exited and energized the next day but those days seem to be long gone
Maybe I just need to take some vitamins or get more sleep, or it could be that I'm getting a bit older
Do you thank age plays a role in being physical tired, or do you think its do to poor diet and sleeping habits?

I feel very sleepy when I wake up late in the morning because I went to sleep very late. I am a person who need around eight hours of sleep every night. It happened to me that I needed to go to bed at about ten at night and then wake up early and felt better, not so sleepy. Over the years the habits about sleeping change with every person. Maybe you need more physical work to sleep better.

I think it depends on what your day was like before you went to bed. And if you get enough sleep then that also is a factor. i know that after a long day dealing with my kids I am exhausted. So when I go to sleep every night honestly no matter how many hours i get I am still tired and it never seems like its enough. i dont think age has nothing to do with it all. But i do agree that vitamins are a good way to start. I have also started going to bed when the kids go just to make sure I have no problems.

Hiya apples,
When I was about 21 I had less energy than what I have now and I am staying up much later too at night and still get up the next morning with loads of energy. Of course I donĀ“t go out too much either.
Not altogether sure what causes it. Maybe the attitude we take and the things we do of course I think a little of everything that we should not do helps to get us into those situations where we get to feel more and more tired.
Hope you get to sleep better these Days.xxx

hello,
Me too, I cant sleep early as before because I used to sleep late now because it is vacation but now I am really having a hard time to put that habbit again. Because everytime that I woke up in the morning I still feel tired, I feel that I still want to sleep but I cant.I am taking now my vitamins and it really helps me a lot. I think it really doesnt matter if you are getting older.

Usually, I do feel energized when I wake. As a general rule of thumb, that's the way that I feel. However, there are still those moments when I wake and I'm still tired, almost as though I didn't get enough sleep. It doesn't happen often, but it does still happen on occasion.

Hi apples99
It has been a long time since I woke feeling great too but I know it is usually due to a lack of sleep. It has got cold here again in the UK and I have taken to wearing socks to bed but the problem is that I wake in the night to take them off because my feet have got too hot!! I need to be stronger with myself too and log off the laptop earlier!!

Generally I do not sleep much to begin with, but then some days it seems that I although I have not interrupted how I slept I am completely exhausted. I suppose for me it attributes to the fact that I have loads on my mind and when I finally am able to manage to sleep my brain somehow is completely exhausted. So when waking up I find that all the stress is sinking in causing me to feel the effects all over and always being tired.

Maybe a lot of it is physical conditioning (a friend of mine wakes up at 3 a.m. everyday due to his military training), but a lot of it is ... I'm guessing you get up when the alarm-clock tells you to.
Your body's clock doesn't always agree with that clock. And maybe you're going through too much stress during the day. The way I do it, I go to bed when I'm tired and wake up when I feel like it (either just whenever I feel like it or when 'I've got to!' ).
I don't 'try to sleep' or 'try to wake-up'; I lie there, do nothing, and it happens when it happens.

You are not alone girl. Every day I feel so tired when I wake up. I really think it has to be with the age. I am 30 now, not bad, but when I was maybe 20 or something like that I used to hang out a lot with friends and I used to sleep just a couple hours before go to work. And used to feel good! I could not do that now, trust me.

I use to wake up so tired that I wasn't even sure if I had slept the night before or not. Finally in September of last year I was diagnosed with sleep apnea. I received my Cpap (continuous positive airway pressure) machine a few nights after my diagnosis and now wake up energized every day. That could be what's going on? Worth checking into if possible.

Hello, Well I have to say that I too have been having trouble feeling energized. I am only 27 so I cant say that it is for sure the age factor or if it is the diet and sleeping habits. I sometimes think it could be both factors together that cause people to feel like they dont have enough energy. I on the other hand sometimes can and will go to bed early and still dont feel energized. I honestly can say that I do eat healthy for the most part. So I would have to say in my own opinion that it is both sleeping, diet habits mixed the age process.

Hi apples,
What time you go to bed? Is it 2 am or 3 am? Sleeping lesser that what is required leads to dizziness, tiredness and lack of concentration. Suppose you sleep at 3 AM you need to sleep at least 8 am, though we need 6 to 7 hours sleep to keep a balance or else there would be what you are suffering.
Though I too sleep late at night I get up late in the morning and I feel fresh and there is no lethargy or sluggishness.
Take care.

When I wake up I always wake up energized because I see the sun rising, usually when I see the light I always feel some sort of energy rising. The only time I don't wake up energized is when I stay up very late at night and didn't get enough hours of sleep.
