I have a phone from Sprint which was OK when I got it, but now I want an HTC phone to be able to myLot, use Facebook when I need too, use Twitter, and just feel more up to date. Are the HTC phones worth the price you pay, and easy to use? I know that I am really trying to make this decision, and want to make sure I get what I pay for. I know they are the BIG thing out there for sure.
Do you recommend them, or is there something better?

HTC is good but you might be disappointed with it's battery especially if you plan to use it on browsing the net and my lotting. It's an android specifically a goggle phone. The features and specs are really cool but if you ask me if there's something better I'd like to recommend a samsung galaxy s or galaxy ace, whatever suits your budget.
I'm really into gadgets. I have a blackberry smartphone which I love as compared to my htc. I also have an ipad2. I check the latest gadgets once in awhile and I do roast test them to see if it's worth the price.

So can you myLot from a Blackberry? I know they are a lot cheaper usually than the HTC and I have heard a lot of people Love theirs. Have 2 months to decide what I want to upgrade too. I actually might try someone's android phone out for a little bit first if I can and see if I like them or not. Just such a hard decision.

I for one love my HTC EVO from Sprint. I can do just about everything on it. I watch tv, listen to the radio. I can be on facebook, twitter and any other site I want to get on. I have had it for almost a year and I have to say that I am still finding new things out about my phone. I love it. By the time I get through changing up my home pages and adding different widgets to my phone it looks like a different phone. I can even play games on my phone that I dont have to pay for and when I am done playing them I can uninstall them and install a new one. Oh, and I love that I can read my boooks on my phone also with this app that I downloaded on my phone. And I can video chat, and I found a new app that lets me chirp with my boyfriend whereever he is. I dont have to dial his number I just hit the chirp button and talk and her chirps back. But my all time favorite thing on my phone is my flashlight. I think it is so cool to have a phone you can use as a flashlight for emergencies. I would say go out and get one. It is definitely worth it.

Wow!! This helps a lot in answering some things and questions I had about the EVO and wondering if it was truly worth the cost. I cannot upgrade or change phones until around October 1st, but now really counting the days down even more. Maybe by then they will offer a better upgrade price for this one somewhere. This does make it sound like a wonderful phone to own.

KrauseHome,
Honestly, I believe an Android smartphone like HTC does have the apps necessary for keeping you in loop with your emails, text messages, social networking and even internet banking.
However, I doubt you would want to myLot on your smartphone - as mylot does not have parameters for a mobile device as such you will have loading problems starting with access.
You may want to consider an iPad or netbook as another option here.

I was just getting ready to say the same thing about the iPad. I have internet on my android phone I do not use it because the writing is way to small for me to read anything and also using internet on it drains the battery very fast.

I cannot tell you from any personal experience as I haven't spend the extra for one since I am home almost all the time I just didnt' see the need. My daughter and son-in-law have androids though and love the access. They are limited on some things but for the most part they can do about what they need.

Yes, this is what I have been hearing now from a lot of people that have them. But for the most part people that have owned a lot of different phones, they seem to like this one the Best.

I personally own the Blackberry Storm and would never myLot with it. It is very slow and you have to scroll so much and to view one discussion and respond back is a nightmare. Both my kids have iPhone and same issue though theirs is a bit faster.
One thing to remember, is that on the cell phones you do not get all the features as you do here on a PC or Laptop. Things like rate or report. Also not all from the homepage shows up.
The only thing I can suggest is to walk into your cell phone store and test it. It is free to surf the web on them in the store so I would try it that way before you make your decision.

That is a really good idea. Hopefully I can find a Sprint store that will let me test out the phone I am interested in, and learn a little more about it before making the Big decision. I know sometimes the phone I got is very limited in what I can do online, and that is why I am looking for something a little better. Just wanting to make sure it would be something I would like, and worth my time and investment as well.

I would not want to Mylot from a cellphone. It's pretty difficult to type on a cellphone. Generally I text, and once I typed out an e-mail to a friend only because I was bored while waiting for my daughter to finish her baton practice.
I do not have an HTC.. my husband does though. He has the EVO, I have a Samsung Intercept. Mine is an android, and I like my phone. I can get on any website, Facebook, Twitter.. whatever. I probably could Mylot from my phone if I wanted.. I just haven't tried it yet. Mine was free with our contract.. hubby's cost $100 with the contract.
If it means that much to you to be able to get online from your phone, then go ahead and upgrade. You can probably trade in your current phone or sell it to someone else to make up some of the money you'll spend on the android phone.

I always wanted an iphone but since I already own an ipod I bought a Galasy S. I really love it and is sleek and convenient. I hate the fact that Galaxy S2 is out not but it's ok lol Anyway I don't really like using the internet on my mobile phone because the screen isn't as big as that of a laptop so it's pretty annoying dragging the pages from left to right and vice versa.
