water.water.water.nowadays im torn between a tap water and a distilled water.i still prefer a tap water.not only it is sweet to me but is free.i can get anytime from the the faucet.
but i get pissed because those who advocate distilled water as safer and cleaner.why they now put down tap water?i cannot get through with their arguments.well i prefer tap water but i do buy bottled water but colored.how about you?which do you prefer?

I do believe that tap water in some of our areas here in our city is clean as the water is treated via a world class water treatment facility and technology. That's why I really don't bother whether I get to drink tap water or distilled water. As long as the water is clean and passed the standards for drinking water, I'll drink that. But it will be better if it can put away the thirst that I have! But I will surely pick the distilled water over tap water anytime for my laboratory experiments. Usually, tap water changes the results of some of my experiments that is why I will most likely use distilled water for such situations.

Distilled water is safer than tap water. Tap water can contain other harmful chemicals and microorganisms because this water is not processed very well. Distilled water certainly undergoes a complex process which separates chemicals other than the water itself. This takes away harmful chemicals that may disrupt the normal system in our body.

if the tap water in your area is clean enough for drinking and tastes fine, i don't see a reason why anyone should spend money on distilled water (since i know it's the more expensive choice). for me, i drink tap water and i've never had a problem with it. there are times i buy distilled water since it's already bottled and it's convenient when i'm going somewhere.. (assuming i don't have a bottle at home for me to take drinking water with me) .... but for the newborn baby, it's only either distilled water or well-boiled tap water that i'd like to feed him with. i just can't take risks. but i do know there are some areas out there that do not have reliable, clean, good-tasting tap water, especially in third world countries like mine...:(

I think you are confused over the terms. Bottled water is not the same thing as distilled water!
Distilled water is undrinkable. It is bad for your health as well as tasting awful. Its main use is for topping up car batteries.
Distilled water has little or no dissolved gas in it. It is the carbon dioxide gas in water that gives the most pleasant taste. There must also be oxygen. Tap water often contains chlorine which if in too great a quantity will make the water taste and smell bad.
