I have heard that it is easy to make money online through medical transcription. Have you ever done this? What is it?

I haven't done it yet but I'm interested to undergo a training on medical transcription. What I learned is it is an evolution of medical secretarial job.It is turning a doctor's recorded dictations into text format. You need vast medical knowledge about anatomy, pharmacology, laboratory values, and medical terminologies to be a medical transcriptionist because a single mistake can be risk to patient's life.

I don't know if I would classify medical transcription as "easy", but it is a way to make money. You typically have to go through a training program that you would be responsible for paying for and then have a quiet space to be able to work. The job entails listening to voice recordings from doctors that they make after seeing their patients. You just type what you hear, but it does go into an official record, so your grammer and punctuation needs to be perfect. Sometimes it's very easy to hear and understand what the doctor is saying, sometimes it is very difficult to understand. You get paid based on the amount of work you complete, so in the begining it's usually pretty slim until you get used to it and learn the ropes. Hope this helps!
