May be one of the reasons.But these companies are too big to be run by less intelligent people.Of course relativity does work in this case.

The company's very smart: the target audience is the "cool" crowd who don't know anything about computers and don't want to know, which is where the "less intelligent" comes from. Not strictly true, of course, just a bit of fun. My comment was humorous in many ways, since there's the ongoing "argument" about which is better - PC or Apple. Personally, I have nothing against Apple apart from their insistence that they're oh so very cool - any company with such a huge ego ends up way down my list of businesses I like. Their products are fine and are, in fact, far better than PCs if you don't want to worry about upgrades, the details of how the machine works and so on. I'm a geek, so I like to tinker inside my PC and be able to upgrade it. I also see little point in many of their products (eBook reader, iPhone, etc.). That's why I'd never buy Apple.
