Classes will again start here by next month and I miss those times I was in school, particularly college. I remember the first time I went to college, my first year, it was so sad. I'm 7 hours away from home and my family. Yes, it's far but that's where I want to study so I have sacrifice. =( But as days passed, I'm getting used to it. It's like me being independent. And that made me a stronger person. =) Going back to those times, I'm missing my friends, the skipping of classes, cheating during exams, not reviewing for quizzes AND even going to school tipsy. The most unforgettable moment of my college days was my "Public Speaking" subject. One time, we had an impromptu speech. We will randomly pick a topic then say something about it in front of the class for 5 minutes. The time went very slow and oh, I will tell you, mine was really a mess. I really hate public speaking and I got really nervous that moment. My voice was shaking and I can't even think clear of what will I say. I even returned the paper to my professor, CRUMPLED. That was so shameful!!! How about you lotters? Was there something from your past school days that you're missing a lot? Or something unforgettable that happened? Please share it. I'd love to read your experiences too. =) For those currently studying, you can share your stories too. =)

Hi there I did not have "fun old days" in college. I was a book worm and had babies at the time, so no going out for me and having the fun things out of college life. I can say though that you can have some of the fun days, dear you are so young still, only make it more mature fun. Go out and have some clean fun with new friends and or better yet get together with some of the ole fun ones. I do not have anything fun to share but will say it was all that molded me into being the person I am today.

Hi dear friend! We both had the same situation in college. I had my eldest son when I was in my 1st year and it was really tough! Hard to study and take care of my baby at night. But still I have no regrets! My baby served as my inspiration to study. See yah!

I was so innocent those time I was in college and lived straightly, no going to college tipsy nor cheating on any exam. The best thing was that I met my two best friends and that we still communicate with each other and try to meet each other anytime we could even though we live apart.

You're innocent? Or maybe you're just a good girl that time. Yikes, that means I am a bad student! Since you said you're not going to school tipsy and not cheating on exams, I am sorry for all those I did before. Anyways, I have met two friends too but the other one isn't communicating with me anymore so I only have 1 loyal friend now. That's a good thing that you and your friends are still in good terms now.

Hi! I will always miss my college days. That's the period of my life that I enjoyed most. It's actually my favorite part of my life. Like you, I studied far from home. But farther than yours because I had to travel by plane. I remember I was so excited because, yeah, that's like the start of being independent. I can't say that my mother was strict but still, living far from home was another different experience. I could practically do anything without anyone stopping me or giving me a lecture afterwards. My mother was with me the first week I was there and I really cried when she went home and left me in my school. But I adjusted fast. I never came to school tipsy but I did come with a hangover. lol It was a normal thing to happen at school, so they say, because a lot of students were like that. I have a lot of memorable experiences back in college. I cried when I first failed an exam but smiled on my next failures. lol I joined a lot of extracurriculars particularly dancing activities and I experienced being lifted, having bruises, wearing body paints, and everything. I joined our softball team and got bumped by a lot of players and getting admirers for it! lol I experienced sleeping at school because of intense reviewing and had ghost experiences because of it. I experienced sleeping at the beach without a tent and just a "malong". I got drunk several times and the worst was I made a scene in the streets. I won't finish this if I list down all my memorable events but the last of it would be... I graduated and felt sad about it because I left school and left my friends who did not graduate at the same time as me. And I felt envious because they still had great times together without me!

I missed getting drunk. And I envy my other friends too who are still together as friends even though we graduated. Well, just remembering those times makes me wanna go back to school. Really awesome experience.

Oh..I hate that public speaking too. I have been back to school for a year and a hlf now and I have to say that every stinking class I have had has had a presentation due. It never changes for me either..I am always just as nervous as I was the first time..lol..I keep hoping to be comfortable, but I don't think I ever will be. I didn't realize how much I missed school until I went back. I love it.

Yes..I do. If I am sitting down..at eye level with everyone..I'm fine..It's when I have to stand up in front of everyone..that's when I get uncomfortable.

Me too. Just think everyone is sitting and YOU are the only person standing...in front...talking...blah, blah, blah...then poof! You're shaking...you're nervous. I wonder how can I/we overcome this.

I hate presentations too. I hate everything done in front of the class or many people. But it's so confusing because we are presenting in front of our classmates and friends yet we still get nervous, right? Do you think it has something to do with our minds or psychologically related?

Hello my friend! I can honestly say that I don't miss studying anymore, lol! I don't know,I just think that I'm done with such reports, homeworks and thesis, haha! What I really miss is my friends and our good old gimmicks! The unforgettable escapade we did in college was when the class was suspended for the reason I don't remember now (hehe, memory gap again!),we decided to go to Luneta Park. We bought foods for our mini picnic,we had fun! And I don't know why suddenly I felt sleepy,I took a nap on our picnic mat, didn't realize my friends had a trip on me,they left me alone there, haha! But of course, they were just around looking at me. And then they said beggars came near me because of the food we had there but still,I'm asleep, haha! So they were forced to go wake me up and just gave some food to the beggars, haha! Good old days!

You got me laughing on your story my friend. I thought they left you all alone and they just went home. Haha! Next time, don't sleep so deep so you will get awake easily. Imagine you're snoring on your NAP. I think it's a thorough sleeping and not just a nap. Well, honestly, I don't miss the reports, projects, exams and thesis. I just miss the old days of having fun with my friends.

I love parties too. Well, those were the days. Now, it's right for you to become responsible as you are a mother now. Me, I do party less now because I just spend my time here at the apartment with my boyfriend.

I know what you mean, I am really missing my school days at the moment. I think one of the main reasons is that I don't know what I want to do with my life, and everything was so much easier back then when you did what you were told and there was nothing else that you could do about it. As we grow older, there are too many choices. I remember when the worst choice that I had to make was which perfume to spray before I left the house. Now, I have to worry about lots more things which are much more important and have different consequences than the things that we had to worry about during high school. There is no comparison, and nothing can prepare you for the fact that your school days are the best days of your life; you won't believe that until you take a step into the real world.

Yes, you're right. I remember when I was still studying, I envied those working people. And wished I had a job too. But right after I graduated, I'm starting to miss everything. And when I finally got my first job, it was so darn difficult. I realized, it's so hard to earn money, and then missing my school days again. Every time I get tired of working, I always think of those times when life was easy. You can cheat during exams, but you can't cheat to your work. You have to do your best at work because in school, you can repeat your failure to make it perfect. In real life, there's no turning back. So, school days are really the best days of our lives.

I too went to study an hour-and-a-hald-plane-ride away from home when I went to university. So, I could also say that being all by myself taught me how to be independent. I particularly remember the 2nd semester in university. I was an engineering student, so my courses were on the technical side. That sem, per week, I remember having 10 hours of math, 6 hours of physics, and 9 hours of chemistry class. The only other class I took aside from these 3 was also public speaking. This class was only 3 hours a week, but I ended up preparing for this class most of the time instead of my other technical subjects.

Just how can we put a little to it? Darn that public speaking!!! Sometimes I can't imagine myself, talking alone just to practice my speech. But ended up being nervous and creating one hell of a speech in front of the class.

i miss school also^^ but i wish that my school times were happier than it were. till 9th grade it was ok but after it i just had a few classmates so not really a great party with a lot of friends. i just had like three friends^^ i know is always good to have a few but good than a lot and not good. but i just wish i could had party a lot while i was in school studying :) i was never the type of girl that goes to parties. i went to cinema or had lunch with them but not really a party person. i wish i just could had more fun while i studied than what i did. anyway i think that we all after study miss it^^ our friends and the fun we used to have^^ about you being embarassed me too i hate those public speeches. i usually talk very fast and feel too nervous :(

I miss my old days also. I do not miss school much but I do miss the times I had with my friends. I also wish I could go back and change some things but thats life. I had lots of fun when I was in high school and hanging out with my friends, drinking on the weekends. It seemed like life was one long party back then.

I know lots of people who misses their high school days but not me. I don't know why but I really don't like going back to that stage again. I miss college days the most. Drinking on weekends with friends is the best. But during my time, we do drink often, about three times a week.

I also miss my old days of College. Really the best days of my educational journey. Had a goof support system and lot of nice friends and teachers. A good time to remember the old antics of me and my friends. I have the ease and comfort and I was happy in spite of the endless exercises, group projects and fieldwork. Not the same thing I can stay now that I'm attending a university. The main peeve for me is that the university is two hours away and I have to travel. Another thing is that the system, which in my opinion is not good, in consideration that it has a a very large population. I don't think I can fit in the culture but it was the best university it is. I love to quit but I am feeling regretful over the money and the time spent. But a bad circumstance might propel me into really leaving. I feeling I wasted enough time and money. By the way, I hate public speaking too. That's why I prefer writing and hand over the spotlight and any attention to someone else.

So, almost everyone here had a great time with school days. I had fun too doing grouped projects, especially when we're having overnights and we will just eat and play games instead of doing the project. That's why we ended up having lots of meetings to finish our project. And good thing you also hate public speaking. Well, if only I had a choice to write them down, I would.

That is an unforgetable experence druing the schooling. In the college,I also had the subject of public speaking, and I also got nervous when it was my turn to speak.but it never came again.

What's with public speaking that makes us nervous?? Well in fact, we are just speaking in front of our classmates. I can't seem to understand. And even though how I calm myself down, I still get nervous.

Most of all I missed the college. That was maybe the beautifulest period of my life. At the final of the college a lot of us started to cry(not me of course.. I like to think that i'm the though type..:D). From the college the beautifulest experience was when a director of college from another country(England) who was in visit at our city and college, liked so much my paintings that were exposed on the walls of the school and took them all,

Wow! It must have been a superb painting. That was a nice compliment for you and very memorable indeed. I'm sure your paintings are already posted on their school walls. Was that your hobby or your talent? Do you still paint now?
