Hi everyone.
I have recently been to Akshardham (http://akshardham.com/) and wanted to tell you my experience about the place, specially the musical fountain show.
Loved it, if asked in one sentence. The place is breath taking, well kept (that's one thing you will rarely hear about places in India) and superb. The main attraction to me was the musical fountain show. It was pure magic. The show at Akshardham depicts the whole process of creation, maintenance and destruction of eternity by Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh , as it is believed in Hindu mythology and my god, what a scenery those fountains created. The whole arena was stand still as the evening descended and we were in another world. The colors and music going along with the fountains created an opulence that was not only vision deep but also touched everyone's heart.
I urge you to witness such a show as and when possible. You will surely enjoy a musical fountain dance.
By the way, anyone who has seen something of that sorts already...

The website is good but shows almost nothing compared to the site. You will experience the real charm only when you are there.

you are referring to the real temple. that is in gujarat. I saw a similar temple yesterday in Canton near Detroit. it is more or less on the basis of Gujarat temples. You have Shivji, Venkateswarji, Hanuman, Rama, Lakshmi etc. It was very nice to visit that temple. I was remembering about ur post when I visited that temple yesterday. have a good day.
I am giving the link of this temple.

I really would like to go to one of these places. I remember seeing on TV here in America fountains that were all color coordinated by special lighting. I would love to see musical fountains too. I love looking a fountains and touching them when I go to the mall or somewhere. I even make wishes in fountains and hope my dream will come true.

Hmmm...nice to know that you too love things like these. I cardinally invite you to visit India. Here you will find tons of wish wells, fountains, waterfalls, springs and other spots where you can enjoy being a water baby as much as any one can be, plus the sight of aforesaid musical fountain.
cheers :)

Have you taken some pictures of it? Hope you download one here so that everybody could see it and have a glimpse of how awesome it is. I haven't seen a musical fountain or of that sort. I have seen fountain in the parks with different colors because of the different lights that lighted it. Just as that really brings joy.

Well no any electronic gadget was allowed in the premises so couldn't take a picture of the spectacle but I guess you may find a few on internet if you search for. By the way, I'll say that pics won't do, you should see by yourself to feel the real awe.

I'm not really well-oriented with hindu stuff but that's great that you've already been there. I've always been scouring around the net for great computer graphics art and found a handful so I know, more or less, what you're trying to say. I've seen exotic arts that just gave me awe and got me inspired to create my own (continuously failing if you're wondering where I got so far ).
