Have you ever thought of how you are going to die?

Have you ever had that moment in your life when you are alone and have nothing to do and lots of thoughts get into your mind. You become so idle that numerous scenarios play in your mind. From love, money, family, happiness, school, and ultimately death. And when death comes to your mind, you would pause for a while and begin to think how you will die.
I'd like to think that I will die in my sleep but oftentimes I fear that I would die in a car crash. How about you? How do you think your life would end?

I haven't thought of how but I want it to be quick. In my sleep sounds good :) I like most other people, want to go quickly and not suffer and most important of all, not to be a burden for my family or friends.

If I can choose how to, I would like it during my sleep, with my partner beside me, holding hands, because of old age. :)

Until now, I've never thought about how I am going to die. But, you are right that the best way to do so is meanwhile you sleep. Until then, I only hope that I still have many years to live before my date comes. I am not in hurry. In the meantime, I rather prefer to think about how I am going to live the time I still have got.

"I am not in a hurry." like that part. Who is anyway? Life is beautiful. :)

I will admit that I have given it thought in the past, but you just have to remember that everyone is going to die at some point, so there's not really any use in worrying about when or how it is going to happen. I always think about how lucky I am that it's lasted for this long without me being very ill or very much in pain, so you should learn to cherish every moment of your life rather than spending your time worrying about how it's going to end.

I hear you. I hope I can live long enough to see my grandkids. If WHO statistics are correct, I'll be alive until I am 73. :)

The same thought came to my mind recently what with calamities going on everywhere. I thought, "what if I'll die during an earthquake, a typhoon or a volcanic eruption, as one of the casualties?" That thought really scared me, but if God will want me to die that way, I have no choice, but I hope I'll have less suffering.

This is what I think. I think I will have one of those crazy asthma attacks and just not live through one of them. I often figured that is how I would die since early childhood. I've came close to doing so just like that a few times. =)
I don't know if dying in my sleep would be nice or not. I had a fortune teller tell me as a child I would drown. Freaked me out for awhile, used to think I was going to. Almost did in just a few inches of water a little while after that, was scared silly. =) I'm not afraid to die so I don't give it much thought. I doubt seriously though I will drown though to me having an asthma attack at times feels like drowning so maybe she wasn't too far wrong.

Maybe you did pay the fortuneteller half what she wanted to have so she gave you only half of the way you would end. :)

hii thegreenestpasture,
i think dying in sleep is the best way to start off the end journey.. away from every fear without knowing that it is going to happen right away.. just once u close ur eyes and then it directly open in the heaven..:P.. Bt before enjoying this there is a lot more to do for me so let this desire be at the last rank..:D
