Last week was pretty nervous and tight for me. Work - home - work - home can get on your nerves sometimes, especially when there is a cool sunny summer days outside the office.
At Saturday there wasn't much to do, so i took a walk outside my apartments and all evening i played football with my oldest son and his friends. That was cool, but still i didn't had enough relaxing feeling after that.
So, the next day (Sunday) my father-in-law offered me to help him to chop wood and of course i agreed! People who know me always laughing that i am the best firewood smasher they know and my best quality is that i love to do it. Yes, they are not imagine something that is not true - i really love to do it and i am doing it pretty good. This time it was just in time. I wanted to relax by doing something that i love to do and thus i had opportunity to help others. I spent smashing firewood all day and after tiredness i experienced huge relaxing power come into my body. This cool feeling i have still today and i feel myself much more comfortable right now.

Some people love drinking, some people love sleeping, apparently you love smashing wood. I guess everyone is different from each other. Relaxing for me is lying on the couch watching TV or playing video games. I also like to hang out with friends and drink. Sometimes we meet and pick up women off of bars and clubs and just... ahem!.. have fun.

Didn't think about that, that's actually a great idea. Maybe the pieces you were fetching back were all smashed up. Really, that's an interesting thing to do.

I'd use a chainsaw. But then again it would take away all the fun.

hi iDivision,
congrats for experiencing huge relaxing power in your body. nowadays it's a rare thing to get, especially for busy people at work. i think the satisfaction of finishing a job (smashing fire woods) and good feeling (helping other people) were the factors which made you feel so relax, and comfortable.
usually i get relax and comfortable feelings by swimming for one hour in my campus pool, after difficult classes, in hot days. i like the sense of cold water on my skin. it makes me feel fresh and more alert. and i usually find new ideas when I'm swimming. so, whatever it is, let's try to spend more time to do any activity that can make us relax and comfortable. work hard, play hard.

Well usually i am just going outside after work and doing running workout for about 30 minutes or one hour, so wood smashing is my priority only at weekends :)

Sometimes we just need a really good workout to get our bodies back insync with our minds. Not to mention, its very satisifying to do something where you can actually see the result at the end of the day. I think that's a lot of problems that people have with office jobs, at the end of the day it's hard to tell that you accomplished anything.
And then there are just those times when getting some aggression out on inanimate objects is a good thing. ~L~

I like your idea about getting out aggression. its true of course and maybe that is the reason why i like it. few years ago i was training in martial arts and then i must say i was the most calm man in the whole world. :D
