READ before COMMENTING!

Well, sometimes it frustrates me a lot when I see people just posting comments about your topic WITHOUT ENTIRELY READING YOUR POST. When I read comments and see a comment that seems bizarre to the discussion, I end up thinking to myself, "this is person has to go back to kindergarten!". I mean, people, please read the topics / discussions first and understand it before dropping a comment. This is but appropriate, isn't it?
To make this not a usual rant, what do you feel when you see people just commenting for the sake of commenting (earning money) and not reading the entirety of your post? What do you do when you see one?

Experience that crap so many times in my two years of existence here in mylot. I remember someone type "Oh really? happy lotting" Then Then someone just read the title of a discussion and answer directly without reading what the topic is all about. The thought that is the best way to earn money on this place. Just report them especially if they were against the guidelines sole they will learn their lesson. There were times I'd tried giving them a chance by asking them to read but they just don't care at all. I don't know if this strategy works but maybe you should try asking them questions its work sometimes but usually they still end up being useless.

Hi there CaptAlbertWhisker!
The commenter posted only that lame line? I had my share with that!
Well, what pushed me to post this and got me really pissed me off is a user, as a response, posted nothing but just a plain link. It's really annoying, especially when you know that it's against the guidelines, and further their response is not in any way related to your post (neither is the link they posted!).
I bet myLot would not give any credit on responses like those, wouldn't they?

I will give you a good news, those type of responses are these the guidelines that you can report them easily. I saw one of those people with the reputation of behaving like that on discussions in this discussions. I can't believe that person has the nerve to do that. I have a feeling we are being the victim of the same mylot members.

I don't get frustrated, indeed somtimes I chuckle at what some people think that they can get away with.
If I see a totally irrelevant response, whether it is on my own topic or one started by others, then I will report it. No-one can expect to earn here of they are not doing their work correctly surely?.
Then there are those who post a response without reading what other previous responses have said. We are told in the Guidelines to read them first, before placing our own. Many think this is a waste of time, without realising that while they read them, they could post a comment to them. Do they really think that is they say the same thing as another user they are going to get paid for it?
We are told to be descriptive, informative and post quality. If a response is original it fits that desription but if it is just a repeat of many before it then it doesn't.
Then people complain that earnings a re low here - wake up!

MyLot tell us that we earn for our quality participation in quality discussions.
If a topic does not allow that then maybe, just maybe, it is not what myLot consider as a 'quality discussion' and maybe, just maybe, we are not earning much at all, even though we are participating.
This could be the reason why some users complain about their earnings and why some days we see higher earnings than others?
Surely it is up to us both to start topics that will cause a quality discussion but it is also up to us to avoid particpating in those which do not leave much open for discussion too?
As always, we have a choice

I suppose that many of us scan the post to see if it has anything that holds our own interests. I tend to be grabbed by the first couple of words, if they interest me then I enjoy reading the entire post. I agree that one cannot comment on a post unless they have read it first! Mind you there are occasional posts ..not this one I hasten to add ..that can be a bit diffcult to understand in the first place!

I usually like to have headlines that are unique from the original message of my discussion. This is to attract more users to my post, and possible comment on it. So, I also have encountered a lot here that just respond to the headline, thereby missing the topic of the discussion.
I still reply to them, but I point out that they missed the point. Maybe they read it, and would be careful next time.

It can be very frustrating. I sometimes responded to a comment by asking the person to please read at least the title of my posting. It really does not bother me anymore, though. I just shake my head and move on. Just don't have the time or the energy or the inclination bother with really boneheaded people. They seem to be very unhappy, anyway, so I don't need to make their day worse.

Yes it is important to read the full discussion before placing a response, at least I feel it should be done this way, after all I do not plan on leaving anytime soon and do not want to be accused of posting for the sake of just posting for earnings.
I have not been frustrated but have had a laugh or two. Depending on what the response itself says, I may go in and ask for clarification. If it is completely non-related I may report because it is not fair to enter a discussion intentionally to abuse and or post irrelevant responses to a well though out and planned discussion.

Hello my friend,
Sorry I cannot pin point my finger or judge somebody about the way they are responding in a certain discussion because some here are responder for just enjoying or all of their comments in the way of joking or some are out of the topic to make a sense or getting attention of the starter. Some are very serious so the only I observe here is you can ride on the flow of their way go on or else you are disappointing in the end of the day... Sorry but that is the true life here... see you around

What do I do when I see one? There are three:
1)get mad / rant;
2)leave the comment blank.;
3)report!
I don't like to get mad actually so most of the times, I just leave the comment. BUT for cases that's really annoying and really out of the way comments, there goes my blood rising. LOL
