I have some ripe avocados in the fridge and thinking to make a nice avocado salad for dinner. Can anyone teach me how to make a nice salad dressing for Avocado salad? Thanks!

I have a very simple, but effective way. It tastes surprisingly delicious & should work very well for avocado salad. I have it to dress my salads for lunch every day without fail. I'll leave the proportions entirely up to your own individual taste. Just mix thoroughly together freshly squeezed lemon juice & olive oil until it starts to emulsify. Let us know how you go.

Do you have a name for this healthy "Lemon juice + olive oil" dressing? Actually it sounds good to me, and maybe I shall try it out tonight. Thanks for the great recipe and I will get back to you with the outcome soon. Have a great day ahead!

Since avocado is delicate, the easiest and lightest dressing would be a simple oil and lemon juice vinaigrette. Oil, vinegar, and dijon mustard would be a stronger variation. I happen to like blue cheese dressing that I make myself, so I use it a lot. I also like ranch and thousand island on most salads. Avocadoes also go well with fruits like grapefruits, oranges, even dried cranberries, so that light vinaigrette would work.

Yes, simple oil and lemon juice vinaigrette goes pretty well with avocado salad, and I also like to put some black papers on it to add a little bit more spicy.. Thanks epicure35 for your reply, and have a good weekend ahead!

Hi Tash, I never add any ketchup and sugar in my dressing, would it be too sweet and creamy for avocado salad? anyway, thank you for the reply, and have good day ahead! Cheers!
