I thought sadness means being scolded when i was small kid. As i was growing up, i imagined sadness meant lower test marks. I realized today, getting along in life, that sadness is part of the human personality.
Materialism is not related to sadness. Sadness occupies at least one third of our lives. Two third are occupied by emotions like happiness, worries, anger etc.
Based on my experiences, i have categorized sadness:
1)then you are really missing somebody
2) a sadness of failure when expectations are not fulfilled
3)when somebody hurts you
4)the sadness you feel when nothing happens.
what is sadness to you all?

Sadness is very relative, one can feel sad for missing things and person they love. Some may feel sad about losing something or person they love. For me, I am sad when no nody seems to understand me, when no body would listen to me and when I can't hear any sound from my surroundings, when there's great silence around me...as if the world is not alive and active. That when I feel really really sad!

Sadness prepares us for inconveniences, and makes us resilient. If you wish to celebrate happiness, celebrate sadness too as a tribute, since it is a vital part of life. we cannot help despising sadness, yet we cannot run away from it. How many miles can we run? hundred miles? thousand miles? and will all that running bring happiness? We cannot deny the fact that sadness rules our lives.
The sadness issue varies from person to person. Yet our views tally, that sadness is a vital part of our lives.

It is not always necessary that you celebrate happiness while you mourn sadness. Just as happiness has its advantages, sadness has importance too. we realize through sadness that life is not bed of roses. Happiness would otherwise spoil us and make us fragile.
There are times when tears fail to show up, even amidst intense sadness. In such a situation my advice would be to cry your heart out. Sadness and tears are related to each other.

Sadness, basically, is the absence of happiness. LOL! It is. You feel it when something unwanted happens.

I feel Sadness: whenever I'm missing someone dear to me, when I remember regretful moments, when I'm seeing people in need but I couldn't help them, and when i think I could done better but i fail.
