What is your favorite disaster movie? Lately there have been a lot about the destruction of the United States through tornados, earthquakes, super waves, astroids...you name it!
I like these movies. I am watching something called the Wave right now. It seems to be about a series of killer waves that destroy the eastern part of the US. Just wiped out New Jersey! lol.
What movies do you recommend for me to watch next? Thanks to all and Happy Memorial Day! Thanks to all that served and that serve in the military!

2012 (Disaster and Apocalypse Films)
In this movie it is shown that 2012 is the end of the world. You may not believe the concept but you can view the 2012 movie must be understood as simply a movie. It does not present all the beliefs about 2012. 2012, the movie, has many things that happen in it which are totally unbelievable; it's what you expect from a movie (you will see lots of these things in the trailer). But the imagination of ending of the world is really thrilling.

I did see this movie and thought it was good though disheartening to think only the rich would get spots on the arcs!

There are number of movies I have seen which are disastourous and very much adventurous but this is still hard to find some. If you talk about a concept I will go for Matrix and also for Terminator.
But also I would love to talk about the latest on yes I am talking about 2012. And yes that was really a very nice movie to watch.

Hi TrvlArrngr, I too love watching such movies, but only when I am in a good move so watching such destruction movies don't further my depression! :) I liked watching the movies 2012 and Deep Impact. Deep Impact is about super giant tsunamis which wipe away majority of the populations. I actually cried when I saw this movie, especially when the families of the pilots come to say goodbye before they embark on a mission to destroy the meteorites that are causing the tsunamis. Its a good watch.

2012 - is the best in terms of graphics, but in other terms like acting and bringing out reality, i should say that its just ok

I never watched 2012 as other Mylotters mentioned, maybe I would rent a DVD and watch it. I would recommend this movie "The Knowing", it may not be a hit in the box office but the movie amused me.
