Have you read the books Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling and Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan? They have a similar twist and plot in the story, has similar characters or cast, has similar setting of events,places and time, and anything that goes with it. It is like they have been childhood friends and they've been planning to write a book that will capture our imagination of myths and magic, heroes and heroines, fantasy and reality and etc. Okay going to my point I'll site and give concrete proof of it.

ETC. Anyway those are a few of the comparisons I've noticed. Is this a coincidence?

I have not read books on Harry Potter. But I have watch some part of the film and I have seen a lot of Kids wearing t-shirt bearing the emblem Harry Potter.

That is a very interesting analogy on your part. I have read also the Percy Jackson and Harry Potter and I never have realize the similarity of the two story until I read your post. It can be a coincidence but it can also be a pattern/plot use because it always triggers the interest of readers.
