Cat's leg - This is what her leg looked like last night.

I'm starting on weeks now as it's harder to keep track of the days. We still don't have a vet appointment, but hoping we get one soon. Tiger's leg was extremely swollen yesterday I noticed, but today it's remarkably better. It looked like it was oozing last night and I think that's what helped ease the swelling off. She's a little happier now, she's been out of her cage 2 days in a row. I know she likes the freedom. The photo below is of her leg last night.

Tiger may have had an abscess and it has ruptured. That will relieve the pressure. I am glad you are getting to be at home a bit. It is good for you and for all of your pets as well.

When I saw the swelling last night, it made me so sad. When she tried to move around in the box she sleeps in, I could clearly see how much it bothered her. Does seem to be better today. With the hot weather, I will be home earlier in the day as we don't want to be working out there in this heat. So I can be home earlier for her. But I'll be leaving the cage open every day for her, so thankfully there will be more freedom and less stress. I was worried about her trying to escape, but with her leg as bad as it is, she would rather stay at floor level, so I don't need to worry about that anymore. I'm going to leave the cage open tonight, see how she feels about that amount of freedom, hopefully it helps her destress even further.

looks like an abscess, did she come injured? she does need to see the vet, you really need to call them and tell them you need to get this cat IN! (want to see some of ours? http://tldcatrescue.blogspot.com/)

hi kris maybe that oozing took some of the pain away as I remember having an infection in my arm and when it was drained oh my did it feel so much better. I am glad she is able to get out of her gage for awhile. Cats are such freedom lovers. lolHope you get that Vet's appointment soon for the kitty's sake. hugs from hatley.

I've emailed the rescue letting them know about the wound draining last night. I'm hoping that they get something sorted out for this week, as I don't want her to die on me.

I thought I had responded to this already, but when I looked at the responses, it was not there. So here it goes again... I'm glad that the leg started draining. It probably relieved a lot of the pressure and released some of the infection. I hope that you are able to get her to the vet soon because it can't possibly be good for her to have all that in her system. I hope things will continue to go well for you and that she will get taken care of soon. Have a great week!!!

that's horrible wound... I hope she will get better soon. And for sure she loves freedom and warm feeling she is getting from you :) I wish you luck with, hoping everything will end good and soon you'll get the appointment with vet.
