Pine cones are very useful for arts and crafts. There are lots of pine cones in some places but I am wondering when these cones drop to the ground? It is very impossible to climb up the high pine trees picking up the cones but there are lots of people who are selling it or collecting it for decorations. Do you have pine cones in your area and where is the time they drop to the ground?

Hi. Bebs08. I have seen pine cones drop to the ground during the autumn time more. The house that we lived in once when I was a little girl, had many pine cones that dropped from the trees and onto the ground. There were so many pine cones until it was so hard for us to just pick up the cones one by one. We had a huge pine tree that was in our front yard. My grandmother took a picture of her standing with her son, me and my cousin underneath this big pine tree. I love this picture!

Well my husband says they probably drop in the fall, because they form in the spring and summer, then in the winter they fall off. Yes, we have pine cones, we've got several pinetrees down our driveway, and they're always laying all over the driveway. Sometimes we'll pick them up and use them for different things, they also make a good firestarter for the fireplace.

Oh really? I will remember that. I've just started to collect pine cones. I enjoyed picking up some when our friend cut down his pine trees in the yard. Just then I realized that pine cones are very pretty and are nice to use for crafts. Then I wondered, when they fall on the ground.
