What are your views on using Coupons? For me, I believe coupons is smart shopping because you're saving money plus the store is getting reimbursement anyway. NOW, What are your views about using coupons when products are ON SALE? I think that is the point of a coupon in my opinion, to get the best deal as possible. Today, I went to CVS and I had coupons to use on make up that was on sale. The make up was $8, sale for $1.87 around there and I had a coupon for $2 off making the product FREE. The cashier told me that you're not supposed to combine coupons for on-sale purchases. Which made no sense, then what are coupons for? If I am going to use it not on sale then why would I need to clip coupons for? I can just wait for the item to be on sale and not use the coupon. She's like well it's technically going to be FREE.. well DUH, that's the point. She gave it to me anyway but she said in the future, don't combine sales with coupons. STUPID RIGHT? Do you use coupons when products are on sale OR when they're not?

I think that using coupons is always a good savings plan. When you can find an item on sale, it is even a better bargain and value. it may seem like such a little thing to do but it can be a big benefit.

I know right =) The lady said you can't combine with sales ... so how are you supposed to use a coupon when the item isn't on sale? Then why both using a coupon!? :P

that sort of thing happens quite a lot. you need to check the terms and conditions. sometimes there's a minimum spend on a money off voucher. sometimes not. so if there's no minimum spend and the voucher entitles you to money off, and the item costs less than that amount, then yes, you can get it for free. I've got quite a few things like that before.

I shop at CVS a lot and I only use coupon on the sale items and most of the time I get things for free or less than a dollar. Sales people are funny though, they act like you are stealing or taking money out of their pockets or something. CVS coupon policy can be found on their website, however, and if you plan on shopping there alot, it may be worth printing our and taking with you for when you run into one of those grouchy salespeople who try to keep you from using your coupons.

I actually shop at CVS quite frequently, I even have a CVS extracare rewards card! I somehow always manage to make it to CVS late and I have yet to get a chance to apply my reward money towards any products.. I ALWAYS miss the deadlines. The sales at CVS are usually pretty good, I use coupons whenever I come across one that I can apply towards an item I like. I think using coupons when an item is already on sale is the smartest way to go, you would definitely save more money that way.

Each store has it's own coupon policy and can change without notice, so it's important to check with the store before using coupons. I have used coupons with sale prices at other stores, but I have not used any coupons at CVS. I have also used store coupons and manufacturer's coupons together. You got a steal of a deal on what you bought and saving money is so awesome, espescially when the items end up FREE!!

From my newspaper on Sundays they encourage you to use coupons for sale items, and the only ones I know you cannot combine with another offer is hwen they specifically say that you can't. Extreme couponers use these type of bargains to their advantage to gets hundreds and even thousands of dollars worth of product either very cheap or free.

Coupons should be used for sale items also. I know that manufacturer coupons could be used, store coupons may not. So make sure that the coupon if for the product that the manufacturer made. I agree with you 100 percent. Why can't we get out food for free if the coupons brings the price down to that.

Coupons are good and I have seen people save a lot of money with them.I wish I could remember to take them with me.But I buy more store brand stuff and there's not a lot of coupons for those.I have read on some coupons that they are not to be used during any sales or promotions. To me it be better to use during a sale. They might actually make money in the long run.More people would them. And the stuff wouldn't just sit on shelf, because you can't afford to get it.
