It's an infectious disease, accompanied by a rash, and immunising (you can not get sick
2 times!). Chickenpox can occur, generally between 2 and 10 years, and cause severe itching. It takes about 12 days.Have you ever have chicken pox disease? I was sick with chicken pox at 6 years old and it was awful.

Yes, you won't get chicken pox anymore. Once that you got that disease, you will be immune to the virus that causes it.

Hello granny2011,
I had chicken pox since I was 9 years old. It was a painful experience for me and it took about 10 days to get out of it. My parents asked me not to scratch the itchy parts as it left a permanent scar out there. Anyway, I am glad I don't have chicken pox at 20+, or else it will be very suffering.

Yes. I think I had it when I was a kid too. I am not really positive about it though becaus I was too young to remember it.

Hello there! Yes, chicken pox is a communicative disease and you can only have it once. I got chicken pox when I was 9 years old and it was itchy. It is better to have them while young because if a person gets it at an old age, it will leave scars that remain on skin unlike on children. Have a nice day!

Yes, I got it from my daughter who got it in their school. The problem is my husband and I have it at the same time and I got a one year old baby at that time. I have scars in my face which is still visible until today. I was on leave for three weeks during that time and my baby has to move out of the house and stay with my in-laws. But she was still not spared from the virus. My baby was 8 years old now and I thought that she was lucky that she got the virus when she was younger. Almost all of her class had the same virus and have to be absent for two weeks while my daughter who already had the virus did not missed any day of her class.

Hi Granny, I cannot even remember whether I had chicken pox when young.
I guess i must be really young if ever I had chicken pox.
My grandmother could remember about it, but my mother said that was not chicken pox. It was very confusing.
They said that when I was very young, I was very sickly.
However, when I get in touch with those patients, I do not get the infection.
I just hope that those days were over.
It is awful to suffer from it when you are older.
One of my colleagues had his when he was nearly 60 years old.
He had to stay in hospital for days.

Actually you can get sick with it more than once, with or without immunisation, and that's fairly common. I had it as a teenager at 17 and it was terrible. It's a lot better to get it as a child because the virus is terrible and gets worse as you get older.

Luckily I never had it. I was vaccinated fairly early, but I think everyone else in my family did. Glad I was spared of a horrible condition!!!

I had chicken pox when i was 14~15 years old.It really was lot suffering i had to bear in that period. There were small pea nuts sort of things all over my body. I used to feel lot of itching & pain in those. It remain for the period of around 15 days. In this period no body was allowed to come in my room because it spreads in air easily when someone comes in contact with the patient i think. But this was more painful as i was alone in those 15 days.I was not allowed to eat salt in food because people say if you eat salt in this disease there will be more itching in the body.
