hi friends.IPL just got over.before anyone can get over that we have the india-west indies tour starting in a couple of days.
T20,odi and test matches.
the thing is west indies is not fighting with england or srilanka for the top ODI or test spot.
they are pretty much battling with the bangladesh team.
so it would be dead rubber.
for all 3 formats, there is no sachin, sehwag or gambhir.
whats worse except for bhajji, raina, and a couple others, the remaining are newbies or players who couldn't cement their place when given chance like rohit, ishant, etc.
you dont have your top 3 batsmen, the opposition board is not letting their best batsmen to play,a mediocre opposition.
these things dont actually encourage the viewers to watch those matches except for the fact to see how well the new guys are doing.
what about you?
will you be watching all the matches?

Dear Stardust,
I am glad that the IPL is finally over....Phew...!!! i agree that the West Indies team is not the best team around. But the Indian team is also not at its full strength. So I think that it kind of makes it even. It will be a welcome and refreshing change to see so many new faces in the Indian team.
This is good platform to test out the future Indian team prospects. Lets see how it goes.

and i forgot about the timing.the young indian team going to prove a point but
before people got rest from world cup,we had non-stop IPL.
major players played world cup and IPL but because of cricket overdose, they opted to rest.
what happens if the indian public also got ipl overload and wanna rest from watching the series.
taking into account that some huge names are missing, its going to be tough

I may watch some matches. International matches has no value without sachin and sehwag.

IPL was something like a festival. As it is T20 cricket is watched with lot of enthusiasm because of the short duration and the batting goes like fireworks. In IPL no country prestige is at stake. It is the franchise. It will not be the same with the series against West Indies. Our team has to play for the country whatever may be the composition. So will WI team try their best. There are many cricket lovers who will definitely watch for the game as well as for the country.

Ha ha ha, friend you are right but Indian team should not neglect the Windies because they may bounce back at any time. But whatever it is i am not going to watch the match because i have lots of work but i do will see the scores every day so that i can know the result. Because Test will take too much of patience to watch. For me i am sorry i don't have that much of patience.

I watched many matches of ipl, Atlast CSK won the ipl. I am always a fan of csk, with Dhoni as captain. Dhoni being a great captain wining all matches, t20 world cup, world cup 2011, ipl 2010 and 2011. But now in west indies match he will be present in one day, only play in test matches.
Normally i don't see full test matches as it takes long time, just see the score then and there after. One day matches i may watch but that also not fully from starting to ending.

Well I will watch may be for some time here there and maybe highlights if its a interesting match I think with so much cricket it hard to generate interest when top players are not playing
And the fact that me being from India the timings will prevent me watching the match fully has it starts late
