Call of God to Man: A threat or A Warning?

"God never threatens; the Devil never warns!" says Oswald Chambers. There is a great difference between the two but most people think that God's warning is a threat to them. They assumed God as the source of fear that horrifies mankind to the upcoming tribulation. Earthquakes everywhere, sudden flood, famine, austerity, etc. they see these things as God's action to threat them and to make them feel pathetic but the truth is, these are all His warning to mankind that what was in the Bible is really happening and is to come. That was His holy call to wake all people up from their sins and repent from it and to receive God's salvation through Christ Jesus. Rapture is not just a myth or superstitious belief that scares people to turn from their sin but a reality that must be observed through signs that the Lord is giving. be aware of the difference of the two: threats try to get people to do what we want while warnings try to get people to do what's best in their interest. Threats seek to preserve power while warnings seek protection from danger. God warns because He doesn't wants us to perish from our sins, besides He is doing He's best to save us (John 3:16), it's not because He will gain something but for us to have life and it;s fullness! God really loves us.

You right, friend. I appreciate your post. God, really wants all people to be save. This is the reason why he sent Jesus Christ, to preach the will of God to humanity and repent from the sin that will make us suffer from anything

we Christians must do our part. it's not enough that we're saved but most importantly we are called to be the salt and light of this world and to preach the Gospel God has given for mankind.

Do we need to preach the Gospel of God to save, friend? As I understand. No need to be a preacher to be the light of this world...

Hi Aerous. We don't need to be as preachers of Gods word but we need to show people the truth of Gods word. Our duty as Christians is to spread Gods word to those that have eyes to see and ears to hear. There are some that will not want to listen when being taught the truth of Gods word. If you know a truth of something that God has shown you, then you need to tell others of this truth. We show people that we are Christians by the way we do unto others and the way we live our lives. I didn't know why I started on this site a long time ago but I think I understand now. I have found a man that teaches the true word of God I put the link on almost every discussion I respond to that is about God. My only way to show people about the truth of Gods word is to share that link with all that want to hear and see. It may help some and some might not even look but it will help those that want to hear and see. 2Thessalonians2 God will put strong delusion on those that chose not to learn. Isaiah 29:1-9 says we should spread the word of God.Colossians 1:25 teaching Gods word.

Good points my friend. If people would only listen to the word of the LORD they would find that rapture isn't in the bible. The rapture theroy came from a woman that was really sick in the 1800's and these preachers decided it was a way to make people scared not to worship God. God isn't looking for someone to zap. God is a loving God and wants all HIS children to love HIM hosea 6:6. http://www.shepherdschapel.com/index.htm I have been listening to this man for years now and have learned so much.

we are in the 5th seal of the bible it is a time of teaching. I pray that everyone be saved but there will still be many led astray when the anti christ is in a place he shouldn't be claiming to be christ. But thank God the time of his being here has been shortened from 7 years to only 5 months. Matthew 24, Luke 21, and Mark 13, plus the whole book of Revelations teaches us that Christ will be here shortly after the anti christ stands in Jerusalem claiming to be christ. And then Christ will destroy that rein that satan has on the world. We will then be here a thousand years with the True Christ learning and teaching. I pray that everyone knows and understands that the anti christ comes first. These are a few of the things I have been taught since I found that teachers link that I offered you and anyone that wants to go see and learn the truth about Gods word. I want everyone to know this that has ears to hear and eyes to see. Good luck and God bless I pray your family is saved too! I know that my husband and I will not be led astray by the anti christ.

Being caught up to be with the Lord is certainly in the Bible - 1Thess4vv15-18. What isn't in the Bible is any protracted period of history between that and the final judgement of the righteous (by faith, therefore, sins removed by Christ) and the wicked. The conversion of Israel must take place before this, and all the warnings of scripture are fulfilled if it takes place, as a thief in the night, immediately before the Second Coming. As for the Antichrist, he's been here for centuries: the Roman numerals in VICARIVS FILII DEI (a title used in the Vatican-approved Donation of Constantine) add up to 666, but more to the point, Vicarius Christi is a direct translation into Latin of the Greek antichristos. Less technical material can be found in Bishop Christopher Wordwworth's Is the Papacy predicted by St Paul? - An Enquiry.

Be a bit cautious what you take from Oswald Chambers. His daughter, Kathleen didn't believe that anyone would be eternally lost and gave members of our church to believe that he had believed the same as she did. Yet, paradoxically, she was pleased to open her home to be used for a rockers' bible study (in her days, gangs identified themselves as either rockers or mods, and in our area they were rockers), so heart and mind might not have been 100% aligned on this matter - she still believed, for some reason, that people needed to be saved.
