Looking through the news this morning, I am getting more and more disgusted.
Barack Obama's decision to play golf on Memorial Day was disrespectful and hardly presidential

Ok, so I have to ask, who in the world wanted him at their Memorial celebration anyway?
Obama earlier today laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and met with families of those killed in battle. But he emerged from the day’s solemnity to go golfing for the 12th time this year and the 70th time of his presidency.
from the same blog.
Now, in my opinion, there is enough going on in the world right now that Obama golfing is so small. There are so many other things to worry about with this man that his golf schedule seems to be a non issue to me. The blog claims it is an issue of disrespect for our military.
I say, when has he shown respect? Why is this a surprise?

"I say, when has he shown respect?"
Ooh! Ooh! Pick me, pick me, I know!
It was when he laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and met with families of those killed in battle -- just like you quoted.
By the bye, is this thing you suggest that it's somehow disrespectful to play golf on Memorial Day a new rule? I ask because no one complained when George H.W. Bush played golf on Memorial Day 1992 (Boston Glove, May 26 1992).

Actually Metallion, I think you may have misunderstood me. I have no problem with him golfing on this day. I did mention that he put the wreath on the tomb of the Unknown Soldier. My point was the media making a mountain out of a mole hill on this. We all know by now that he is a golfer. More power to him.

Metallion, there will be NO FACTS used on this site, they only cloud the rants that the crazy people on here spew. How dare you try to bring logic into an illogical rant????

I hadn't even sprouted short hairs in 1992, and I'm not sure myLot was around, but I would have complained. But I complain when anyone plays golf. I hate golf.

I've often thought "if President Obama came to town again, would I go see him". The answer's "no". "If I didn't know he was coming and then there he was, would I stay to see him or shake his hand?" The answer is "no", even though I know it's the "Office of the President" you're suppose to show respect for... Somehow this guy has me even turning my back on the "Office".
No, I wouldn't want him at a Memorial or Veterans Day ceremony I attended. I don't believe he's sincere and it would literally make me angry he was there "pretending" he gave a damn.
My Dad was a proud WWII veteran. I know he wouldn't want Obama near his grave. I feel the same.
As for his golf, as much as he does golf, he should have a decent handicap...

I would say you had reason to question him if he has someone else lay the wreath at the tomb of the unknown or if he said that he was not going to meet with the families because he had a golf game to attend.
How this appears to people should be a concern to him and his people but if they feel that this is alright then so be it.

Obama actually laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier before he played golf. George H. W. Bush sent his vice president to do that for him because he was to busy golfing in 1992. Was George H. W. Bush disrespecting the military then?????

Debater - I agree with you. It goes both ways.
NYRican - The problem people have with Obama only has to do with his color he's black That is such a ridiculous statement. I have a LOT of problems with Obama's Presidency and not a single one of them have to do with his skin color. Sorry charlie - that one doesnt fly. Making such a blanket statement is not only destructive, but it just breeds more racism. what a shame.

Yes I agree with you thegreatdebater Bush was disrespectful I remember that and I thought it was wrong. The problem people have with Obama only has to do with his color he's black, so nothing he does could be right in the eyes of racist people.
The Bushes started all of this war crap the Persian Gulf war 1990 Bush1, the Iraq war Bush2 they are the real evil ones. Bush showed everyone he's racist by doing nothing for the Katrina victims and nobody cared, 911 he did nothing to stop it or
even capture Bin Laden, only made empty promises, and a war, our economy crashed when Bush was in charge.
But it's so funny how people are trying to blame the mess that Bush left behind to Obama. All you Obama haters need to get your heads out of your a$$ and see things for what they really are. Yes we have a BLACK president!!! So get over it!!! I voted for him, I'm sure he can't do anything else to the United States that the Bushes didn't already do.

Nothing about him is "presidential" because he is not our president. A foreign and domestic enemy has been given illegitimate power to rule and annihilate us.
This is a man who hates America. His hatred of us and Israel goes WAY beyon "disrespect". It is jihad, pure and simple, to vanquish an enemy, us.

Every minute he sits lawlessly in the WH, be it on the golf course, "date night" with Michelle the "fistbumper", disparaging us and Israel around the world, enacting unconstitutional laws - every breath he takes as de facto president rather than incarcerated traitor HARMS us greatly and irrevocably.
Only the truth and proper consequence for his many crimes will stop the harm.

I don't understand why a POTUS, an incredibly stressful position, should be criticized for taking some "me" time.
Besides, I doubt many, if any, of those golf outings did not have advice and interruptions throughout. Talk about "a nice walk ruined".

Honestly, I think he's got enough constitutional violations under his belt up to and including an illegal war, multiple 4th and 10th amendment violations, and of course his 14th amendment violations. I think it's best to criticize him on things that do real damage to our country rather than how often he plays golf. Being president is a 24/7 job.
An average Joe, or even a high profile CEO could conceivably play gold every weekend amounting to 52 times a year. This really is one area I just wouldn't bother making a stink over.
