Who exactly didnt expect this?
Have you been to a grocery store lately? How about a gas station? Did you really think the economy was getting better?
NEW YORK (AP) -- Americans are losing faith that the economy will keep improving, according to a monthly survey.
Did you know that the economy was getting better?
If you read the article I linked to, you will see each paragraph explains why people have no confidence.
Note to the media - way to have a firm grasp of the obvious!

I just sent you a message. I hadn't seen a discussion from you in awhile and here you are. Now to your rant...
I'm with you all the way. I haven't felt the economy has gotten better since the first time they (the administration, etc.) told me it was. I haven't been to a grocery store in months to buy groceries like I use to. I buy enough to get me through a few days/weeks and what I buy is always on sale. As for gas, I'm trying to drive even less than I already did. When I fill it's over $90.
The media? I gave up on "main media" years ago...

I have confidence in only a few things...that you can make your business a GO and my Mom's book will be back from the publisher next week and I may get the air/water filters in my house changed before next week... Not even sure I'll finish trimming the bushes in front of my house, let alone get it cleaned before the end of next week...

It will not, at least economically. We have hoisted ourselves on our own collective petard by allowing corruption and evil to reign in our country and government. Only a move of God will serve to somewhat restore America before foreign and domestic enemy and his ilk take us down.
Our confidence must be in God and His Word and Principles if we are to survive as individuals and a country.
You can also be very confident and sure that BHO is deliberately jacking up gas prices, destroying our economy, keeping our borders unprotected, etc. as his part of the jihad being waged against America and Israel. This is, in fact, terrorism.

Boy, you got that one right! I am still looking for that elusive "strengthening economy" and change that was promised.....if you find it, could you send it my way?
But seriously, until they take some major steps to reduce our nation's spending to reasonable levels, and try to get a handle on rising cost of living expenses, not to mention improving the job market, it is just not going to get any better. I just don't understand why the elected officials cannot see this.....or why they don't seem to care.

I know that the economy is not getting any better. I have been out of work almost 3 years now, no jobs at all. The applications that I filled out and interviews I have been on all ended the same way, NO. I am 49 years old and I know that in the work force today they are looking for younger people. One, because they are new and eager and will work for less money and two, they are moldable and will be willing to work longer hours. They look at me and probably say to themselves, this guy is too old for what we want. So therefore I do not get the job. The unemployment numbers are all bull, there has to be at least 3 million or more people between unemployment and the ones that their benefits ended. And still there are no jobs out there. I think things are going to get worse regardless if a Democrat or Republican in in charge. This is something that did not just happen a few years ago, this goes all the way back to Nixon. Time and greed created the situation that we are in now.
