Tell me Mylotters... DO you hate to eat hot and spicy food? I think this kind of food is typical asian culinary... Most asian people eating this hot spicy stuff that will melt your tongue away. Actually, I was born in one of Indonesian tribe that really eating chili in any viand... yeah... any viand. Even with rice. I love all the sensation comes out after you eat something with chili and drink warm water... I called it heaven. Hehehe... Well there's a time I will travel to a place where the chili is small as bean, and the food is not spicy, I always prepare my own chili sauce in sachets. :) How about you? DO you like hot and spicy food? Or you are not chili eater at all?

I don't hate hot and spicy food. I do eat them but this does not mean I can no longer enjoy meal without chili. I can enjoy both. I used to stay away from chili but my husband taught me how to like it. Now my tongue could stand hot and spicy food with my husband and I now don't need to drink water while eating hot and spicy just like I used to do.

Thumbs up!!! You adapted already. :) Before I stay with some filipino friends where d father eating food with preserved chili called labuyo in vinegar. The daughters dont used to eat the cabuyo, only the father. The father is ilocano and used to make preserved chili that mixed with the salt and vinegar inside the bottle that last for a year. I stayed with this family for six months in Manila. i told them I like the labuyo also and its taste good when I eat with other ilocano food that they made. The sisters never eat the labuyo before. I let them tried to eat food with and without chili... And it seems that they liked the sensation eating something with chili. Now the father labuyo is no longer a year stock, it can last for two or even a month. :) The father has to make more labuyo (no choice). LOL

I think our tongue has a way of adapting to the hot and spicy taste of chili. At first you will surely need water for a rescue if you are not used to it but when you try it every day, you will find your tongue no longer satisfied if the chili is not as hot as it should. Labuyo is the best. If not labuyo, the chili will not be very hot and will not satisfy at all. I particularly like chili sauce, the sauce usually found in Chinese restaurants. I love it so. Siomai will not be good without this chili sauce.

Hahaha. I dont know how to call you? Ms or Mr Number? Welcome to this web and share a lot with us. :) Wow, it must be interesting to stay in the place like yours with many fruits and seafood. I really love seafood especially if we mix and cook it with hot and spicy ingredients. I can imagine how the sensation will be if you are in warm climate, very hot already, having perspiration and you eat hot and spicy food with warm rice... well, i recommend you to drink something cold... cold to the max... :) Share more with me, where is that city or town in the south china? I may surf later thru net to look what kind of fruits and seafood there. :)

I tend to eat sweet foods, my favorite Asian Cuisine is Chinese because they make the best sweet and sour dishes available, i tend to eat Sweet and sour chicken, with chucks of carrot, potato and pineapple. For hot and spicy food i'm not really a big fan although i do like the mild spicy dishes such as Chicken Tikka Masala as that is slightly spicy but sweet and mild at the same time anything hotter is not a friend of mine haha.

Chicken tikka masala? Hmm... its sound something new from me. Ahaha. Maybe I will figure out about this kind of viand. I do love chinese food and how they make the fried rice, especially the traditional chinese restaurant. I wonder how could the taste never change for many years. It just that they never do any franchising system because they want to preserve the way the prepare the food. Anyway, at least you can still adjust to eat something that is spicy even its mild. So if ever you will be invited by people who used to eat hot and spicy, maybe you can still eat even a very small portion. :) Thats for culture respect.

Hello tenrajj... Hot red chili with cheese? Maybe this is like eating spaghetti or pizza, or sandwich... Well it depends on how you enjoy the food right? I like all the viand with chili, Except all the desert. Ahaha. Haha... about the sensation of defecating after eating food with extreme hot degree, i think its another story. Maybe you have to drink more water, it may help, and avoid to eat the chili seeds. It will give another trouble for the same situation :). Ahehehe.

manya_pearl, I am not a real fan of hot spicy food but I will eat whatever is being served in various different countries I visit. So, I am alright with the foods in countries like China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand where they are known for their spicy dishes. I am aware that there are places that do not spice to one's expectations but I will not go to the extent of bringing my own concocted spice sachets as there are some countries that do not allow such possessions on arrival at their immigration checkpoints. So, I am more like going with the flow guy as far as local dishes are concern.

Hi. manya_pearl. I don't hate spicy food, I just don't eat food that is too spicy. If it is too spicy to where I can't eat it, then no, I don't want to eat any food that is very spicy. I like to be able to enjoy any food that I may eat. I love chili though. I love it when it is mildly spicy.

Yes, I hate spicy and hot foods so much, I don't even like it even if it 's just very little since I still taste it. I don't get why people like to eat food that makes (tastebuds) them suffer.

Hi Manya, In the past, I shy away from anything hot and spicy but now I do eat them. In fact, I eat a lot of them lately. I tried to make Kimchi once and loved it. Even my family do. So everytime we eat dry meals like fried meat or fish, we include kimchi as a side dish. It was just by accident that I chanced upon a write up that stated kimchi as a pro-biotic food. I searched more about it and with the benefits listed there, I decided to make some and indeed, it lowered my blood pressure plus more other benefits. Chili peppers has a lot of health benefits to human and I wish I had learned about it in the past. But now, since I knew that, I intend to have my whole family eat healthy so I include hot chilis in my dishes every now and then. Have a nice day!

No I can't Tolerate just like many other People can take the Burn. You either can Handle it in Your Mouth and Tongue or Not. I can take Weak to Mild Chili Peppers but the Burn can Vary as to where the Peppers come from.

Regularly i would eat some spicy food. I love spicy food, but up to a certain extent. Im sure many of u have experiences when u gobble down a extremly spicy food and find yourself looking for water and drinking it but it does not help. I guess this is personal preferences and different people have different taste buds

I love eating spicy foods. My viand becomes instantly delicious if i mash a red chili pepper on it. It makes me eat well and plenty ! Even our vinegar at home, it has lots of those red chili pappers and i would always get the pepper out and mash it on my viands.

I love spicy food. I put chili almost in all of my dishes. I don't know why, but I find a dish incomplete if it is not spicy. Even the condiments I use, I always put chili in them.
