What have you piocked up on that was pure mothers intuition? Or your mother perhaps? My Son is Autistic and doesn't speak many words, so i often have to just use trial and error to work out what he wants or needs and when, so i hgighly depend on my mothers intuition in many situations, and go by previous experience to work out whats best for my son daily... But 2day was different more normally active and sensory seeker is snuggled up for a cuddle with his mum which he rarely does unless he initiates the snuggles, then their ok. He wasnt his useual happy self and i knew that he wasnt feelin well he has been settling down watchin a movie but hunched over and was even a little bit sick... so im glad i had my intuition switched on as he still wants to play outside on his swing but feeling unwell and cant tell anyone, which breaks my hear sometimes. Please share your stories of mothers intuition here and the bond between parent and child, dads feel free to join in on your experience of fathers intuition to if you like i am interested to hear everyones experiences.

This is true. When my child tells me that her teacher is being mean to them, I listen to them and I do believe what they are saying to me too. I can tell that my child is being mistreated by their teacher, because of the way that they are acting towards me and my child. Same way if my child is sick. I can tell when my youngest daughter is sick because she will lay in the bed for a longer period of time. She will, not say anything and she will be very quiet. I know whenever something is really wrong with my child.

I have two stories. One about my mother's and one about mine. When I got pregnant with my son I was living with my mom. She knew I was pregnant before I knew and before I even had any symptoms. When my son was about 3 months old I took him to get his shots. I was worried about him being in pain so I put him in his swing and he fell asleep. When he woke up he was screaming like he was in pain. I was sitting with my mom and said "maybe his legs are sore from not moving them after the shots" She wasn't really sure what I should do. I put him in on the floor and let him move his legs around and he was as happy as can be. That was the first time when I realized I would do okay being a mom.
